NB skills: Reaper's Mark versus Relentless Focus. Which is better now?

Hi everyone! :)

For PVE discussions:

Before 1.6, I used to activate Reaper's Mark for the 75% ignore armor on target and then start my attacks. After 1.6, we only get "Major Fracture," with a numerical value of armor penetration. Does anyone know on average how much DPS is increased by the new Reaper's Mark?

Now, ignoring Assassin's Will, Relentless Focus when activated gives your attacks 8% more damage and a 10% increase in stamina regeneration. So I was thinking of using Relentless Focus instead of Reaper's Mark if Reaper's DPS increase is about the same.

Does anyone have more details on the comparisons between Reaper's Mark and Relentless Focus? Thanks for your help! :D

Reapers mark is almost worthless in group pve as it applies the same debuff as pierce armour (the 1hand/shield taunt)

Reaper's Mark, since it's the only skill in this game that required me to slot Purge.

Bah, seems I stumbled into PvE land.

    Better late than never...

Reaper's Mark is NOT worthless in group PvE at all. Reaper's Mark's major fracture and Focused Aim's (FA) minor fracture stack which is why you mark the target, then FA the same target immediately after. If the tank has one target fractured...fracture another one. That way, you have two enemies fractured instead of one. Also, your mark is a self heal. My mark heals my Shadowscale for more than 75% of my maximum health giving me full health after the target is down. With boss fights, I use the adds to keep myself alive. The longer my health stays as close to a 100% as possible, the more healing the healer can give to other players including tank. That is a chain reason as to why it is not a useless, nor worthless move.

You wouldn't use one or the other. You can stack the abilities. USE BOTH! Start with Reaper's Mark (RM), then activate Relentless Focus (RF). Start with a Heavy attack, then follow with 3 Light attacks to trigger Assassin's Will (AW). Now, quickly kill your target (WITHOUT using your AW). Quickly target a new enemy and you should have enough time to utilize your full rotation starting with RM while having AW active. Unleash your rotation (including AW this time) and just see the damage done escalate to newer heights.

I also want to add that everyone should get into the habit of hitting RF twice while AW is triggered. Once to let off AW and twice to re-apply RF.

This advice/example is for stamina based characters, but same rule applies for Merciless Resolve (MR) and Magika based characters.
