What is the point of subscribing?

10% xp buff.
What other reason is there to spend $15.00 a month on this game? I can just play it for free and get the same content right?

There is no point at all at the moment but one of the big topics on the forums is trying to get them to boost sub benefits.

Maybe soon otherwise no point giving them any money till dlc or sub boost in bonuses.

If you dont want crowns and the 10% boosts then you should indeed cancel your future monthly crown purchases.
This game has no sub any more. Its f2p.

you have to figure out what is best for you.

If nothing is appealing so far...its OK, maybe something peaks your interest when DLC starts rolling out.

I stopped subbing until DLC starts coming out. Then I'll determine if I want to sub or just buy the zones. I play a bit on the slow side, so subbing may not be the best option for me.

The only reason is what you get and to support the company. $15 for 1500 crowns is fair by itself so if there are things in the crown store you would like to buy then it is not a bad deal. If you want to shave a couple hours of grindg time there is that (it is literally only a couple of hours though). If these do not appeal to you then cancel for the moment.

I am not subscribing, just gonna pay for what I want like I do with the other Elder Scrolls games. The only thing I think they should do away with is the crowns the way they are now cus they are setup like how Microsoft had their Microsoft points, instead I just want to pay for the exact amount I buy for and no crowns left over.

NO! Please no priority queue. Its bad enough that I tested out subbing and the %10 exp boost is Pay to Win enough that I now have a lv 14 completionist char still doing lv 10 quests. Its even gives a noticeable increase leveling boost for my vr 4 char. We don't need any more Pay to win unfair advantages for the game.

I cancelled my sub as well after b2p started, pointless for old players, with maxed crafting/lvl and so on, i really don't care about those 10% bonuses, so nothing lefts for us.

I'm just building up crowns for something I might want eventually...holding onto hope I can get a chicken that harmlessly explodes at random.

$15 isn't much for my budget, and I know they'll toss up something I want to buy sometime in the future, so by essentially pre-paying I'm getting some petty worthless bonuses like gold buffs I don't need and XP buffs that don't matter.

Disposable income is disposable. But don't get me wrong, there's no objective reason to subscribe, +10% XP on say 4 hours of game time, 240 minutes, is like playing 264 minutes without a ESO+ buff. Essentially if you've got a spare 24 minutes than I typically spend a day, there's literally no progression difference... and I'm not even grinding so it's likely not even comparable to someone who does grind. I won't even mention the gold gain or crafting nonsense, since it's comparable to less than a single square of toilet tissue on a roll of tissue in a jumbo pack next to all the other crap I've got on my shelf...so minuscule I wouldn't notice or care if it was or wasn't there.

No benefit now, but if the game is around in 5 years it will be cheaper to sub for a month and grind new content then it would "in theory" to buy all dlcs in the crown store.

My sub expired about half an hour ago. I'll eventually renew it when the game doesn't crash every 5 seconds anymore and when new content is added. Otherwise, no, I don't see a point in renewing it.

No you wont get any "free" content if you dont subscribe if you play for free you have buy all content in crown shop.

Since when? The game as it is right now is and will be playable for free. Only future content (whenever this will show up) won't be for free anymore.

I dont care about the stuff we get with ESO plus I just want to support the game I love to play and hope to play for years to come. I dont mind sparing 15 USD to support this game and let ZOS make new stuff for me to play through. I bet that once the console stuff is done more things will be added.

Well, I "supported" the game for almost a full year...
Or to be exact: apparently I supported a year long beta test for console I dont even own.
Enough is enough.
Unless future DLCs are really monumental and a total "must-have" I am done paying extra here.

I hope ZoS trolls everyone and does a "Surprise! Subscribers get this!" when something awesome comes out. Anyway subbing is a good way to support the game ($15 a mo isnt that much).

But yeah I get how it feels kind of underwhelming being subbed

Maybe keep the 10%...and add 2% each consecutive mo to cap out at 16-20?

I am staying subbed until I see how they do dlc's. I have a sneaky feeling that those 1500 crowns you get a month, will be the cost of dlc's, even though ZOS has said dlc's is included with your sub, I would not be surprised to see that that you need to use those 1500 crowns to buy those dlc's, seen other companies do the same thing.
