PvP modes as part of DLC's

I think it would be nice to add different PvP modes as part of the DLC's, some people don't enjoy PvE as much as the rest and would also like to see new content for PvP. Given that not everyone would buy the DLC (immediately after release at least) they could be smaller scale zones as compared to Cyrodiil.

Would love this. I would definitely buy a PVP DLC with new keeps different terrains and maybe have to fight your way through a village then on to the keep! Gotta be more fun than than the dreaded Alessia bridge :s ! Anyways, great idea !!

I just want to logon, queue-up for PvP, and then be placed on a team and go at it. I'd like a new PvP archetype to be a match with a beginning and end, with clear victory conditions that lasts no more than 4 hours at the longest possible match (1-2 hours average). Preferred total players in each match type 10 to 80. No lame standing around lobbing projectiles and siege and no long corpse runs either. Basic design elements that promote non-stop action.
End the tedious inventory management game.

Well, I don't know if it's the next DLC (that might be Wrothgar), but it is planned.

I will say that as PVE player with very little interest in PVP, I do still think that PVP players have gotten the short end of the stick over the last year, as there has been a lot released for us PVEers, and very little for PVPers. So even though I'm highly unlikely to partake in any new PVP content, I still think it should be given priority over new PVE content (although ideally I want to see both, of course).

I would hope that the first new content for PvP (after Imperial City) will be some of those things that Brian Wheeler suggested somewhere else as being looked at:
    CtF in Cheydinhal
    Murderball
    "Battleground-style" games in the Towns

These would be implemented directly into Cyrodiil as "gameplay updates" rather than paid DLC (as Imperial City should be too).
Paid PvP DLC, conversely, could include battleground zones, such as the "it's already in the data files" Fort Balfiera, Topal Island and Velothi, and the "it was at conventions" Colovian Crossing.

I love how people are actually ASKING for paid DLC these days, instead of expecting different PVP options as part of the core game.

Personally I expect both. Imperial City and anything else I suggested above which ties directly into Cyrodiil as gameplay updates for the core game, with extra PvP zones as paid DLC. That way, there are more PvP options in the core game, and also extra, optional ones which could be paid for.
Looking into the source of Fort Balfiera, Topal Island and Velothi further, they seem to affect wider gameplay, so they are actually more likely to be gameplay updates rather than DLC anyway.

I would seriously enjoy PVP modes simliar to online First person Shooters (wait hear me out...)

Small area "Arena Challanges" capture the flag, King of the Hill, Death Match etc. Small and short 10-15 minutes each 4-8 player mathes either free for all or teams just for fun. I don't want to have the game balanced for it but I think some of these modes can be fun and challenging on a small scale where you got constant action and you are grouped with similar leveled players for a short term goal.
Also an Arena type mode where you either solo or group (or the game can group you) to take down hoards of enemys with small bosses tossed every once in awhile once you went over a certain number of enemies killed. Obviously some rules or limitations must be made like no invisibility when in sneak maybe a slight short duration camo only etc. but those can be more specific only and not effect the rest of the game.

Lore can be explained through just having a competition for various challangers looking for fame or gold. I would also have this separated from Alliances so that players are forced to team up with "the enemy" which is a nice in story element tha can be explored though maybe some PVE story/options in so called "Arena Challanges" mode.

I do believe this would help mitigate grinders and thrill/action seekers away from grind spots and would provide a fun rewarding experience for all.
"Who will ride fiery, ahead of the legions, Nag for a steed, and crusts for meal, Temper his sword in the heat and in ice storms, Sleep on straw pallets, labor 'til dawn, Bring down the armies of Molag-Bal, the walls of the Imperial City and tear down the Dark Anchors that plague the land? Who can do this task, with but only a handful of brave men with courage in their hearts..."
