Are the costumes in the crown store permenent, no matter how many times you change armour,

i'm asking coz GW2 costumes are connected to your armour so as soon as you get a new piece of armour the costume part is gone (unless they changed it, haven't played in a while)

Yes, once you get one it goes into your collection, and can be used by any and all characters on your account (even simultaneously), regardless of what armour they use (if any).

I hope they add more costumes soon. And I hope they let us dye them at some point.

What I REALLY wish they would do is add a cosmetic slot for each armour slot, and make each piece of a costume individual to that slot. That way you could mix and match different pieces from different costumes and really come up with a unique look. :)

For reference, LOTRO does a very good job of this. In LOTRO you have a cosmetic slot for each armor slot. You can mix and match however you want. You can set up multiple 'sets' as well. You can use 'cosmetic' items or you can slot actual armor/gear into cosmetic slots. It's been a while, but iirc, the only limitations are that you cannot slot gear that you can't otherwise equip (light armor class using heavy as a costume) and when you enter the PVP zone I think it removes your costume, but I'm not certain, it's been a LONG time. I may be mixing up different games in regards to the limitations imposed.

I want it like Fallen Earth :-) in that game, you can place any item as cosmetic skin for another.. only rule is that they need to be able to fit in the slot.. as in chest armor in the chest slot and so on

Need more random "transformation" costume that turns off when in combat.

Running around as skamp, smaller daedroth or tiny daedragon please.

    YES!

I would really wish costumes were divived into two kinds...

    - "combat costumes" like the stuff ftom the stealthy rouges pack or the golden saint costume and such, which stay when in combat, those should be all "armor style" costumes, as well as "transformation" style costumes like skeleton or draugr...

    - "noncombatant costumes" which unequip upon recieving damage like disguises (but unlike disguises, are not lost but can be re-equipped in more peaceful areas), this should be "clothing style" costumes like the wedding dress, chefs apron, etc. but could also include "noncombat transformations"... we have some of the kind in the game, be it using a magical ring to disguise yourself as altmer supremacist to infiltrate an island base, or using alchemy to temporarily turn into an monkey to slip through a crack, or a NPC wizard turning himself into a scamp to evade the dremore guards (though I suppose that would more count as a disguise)... no reason there couldn't be costumes for people who like to play shapechanger-ish wizards, right?

And then I'd love way more of the latter kind... way more...
