Should Dark Cloak cancel bleeding?

I got to VR14 using Shadowy Disguise but have recently swapped over to Dark Cloak as it looks more useful. Although pretty erratic in function (like Shadowy Disguise) when it works its cancellation of DOT effects is great (and allows you to cloak with a DOT in place).

I'm finding though that a bleed effect cancels Dark Cloak instantly and is not removed. Bleed effects are DOT and I would of expected Dark Cloak to cancel them out. Is this a bug or by design?

Based on description yes. Suspect the former. Otherwise the description should read Removes damage over time effects except bleeding.

Technically, I would think that having a heal effect applied should counter bleeding as well.

Burning effects can be mitigated by jumping in water and rolling.
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.

It's a shame; bleeding is a pretty common DOT effect. I can"t imagine it'll ever get fixed.

my experience with invisiblity is that it's not really working...

with the addons i can't even track well the debuffs etc..

for me it's very difficult to play with invisibilty; it feels useless.. (in pvp again)

it would be better, imo, if invisibility were displayed with a toon that is gaseous-ethereal-looking and not with the eye that closes ecc... it's not a good feedback for stealthers imo... but yeah, it would break the Elder Scrolls tradition...

but MMOs must evolve and people can learn from anywhere

    Cheers..

It's been broken from day one and become progressively more broken as time's gone on. I suspect that some much new code has been piled onto old, without any attempts being make to address existing bugs, that Zenimax don't even know how to fix things anymore.

Shadow cloak and its morphs have been broken since beta...

it's hard to say if it's broken or not. bleeds don't work on one of the most common mob type in pve which is..irritating to 2h players...but other dots do.

You will also find some snares in pve will cause dark cloak to break constantly, I suspect its because the snare has a bleed.

A bleed is a DOT nonetheless. The description of Dark Cloak promises that up to 4 DOTs (not "magic DOTs" or "some DOTs") are removed on activation. Since those break the cloak, and considering that this is the fabled "escape ability" of nightblades, it has to affect bleeds.

No need to ask this as a question. It's a fact. The question is, will the ramshackle joint be able to actually fix it?

Any bleed is breaking Dark Cloak for me (even if it's the only DOT). In Craglorn I'm getting hit by a lot of thrown daggers so it's not an issue of snare.
