Player Bazaars - Good, Bad, or Unholy?

If this has been brought up before and I missed it, I apologize almost sincerely. I miss things constantly. Mostly because I play with a controller. But how do we, the ESO playerbase, feel about player bazaars?

For those unfamiliar with the concept, a player bazaar is basically the ability to set a price on something in your inventory, allowing you to sell things directly from said inventory to the players around you, for the price you set. On a first come first served basis. Usually accompanied by a little symbol of some sort next to your name denoting the fact that you have goods to sell.

I've seen a lot (read: hundreds) of topics on the subject of implementing AH, and while I personally like the idea of AH, it's not happening. I'm also of the opinion that the current guild vendor system is terrible for individuals trying to sell things who aren't in any of the bigger trading guilds. In point of fact, I'm in several of the larger trading guilds and I still end up vendor-trashing things I think might be useful to other players.

So, are player bazaars a viable compromise, do you think?

Yes i love the idea but id prefer them to rethink the idea of a proper auction house especially for consoles.

Dont want people yelling selling this and that all day long at me lol.

It's ok but I see one area in each faction being the spot to sell stuff and people forming a mass crowd trying to sell their stuff. The problem being that if there enough people crowded together it would be increasingly hard to get noticed and for potential buyers to even be able to toggle you to view your wares.

Well, in all fairness, I've always thought they should've split zone chat into 3 distinct channels, for chat/trade/RP to keep spam to a minimum. So, in my mind, people yelling/zone-chatting about their deals is an entirely different can of spam.

You could just as easily set up your trades in your bazaar, and go about your buisness as normal. Quietly.

Or, by the same token, you could set up your trades, position yourself somewhere fitting (Crafting stations, for crafting goods, as an example) and semi-afk and hopefully make some gold while watching a movie.

I look at guild traders as the typical market stall.
I look at you player bazaar as the typical peddler roaming the streets and markets.
You could have them spam their tag above their head, but that would make a mess of everyones screen with 100 people doing the same thing.
So yes a "trading" icon would be good.
Perhaps Smithy, Woodworker, Clothier, Cook or similar instead if you want to sell services ?

Not seeing an advantages to individual bazaars vs what we have now. Searching individual players vs the guild stores right now doesn't seem like much of an improvement. The down side would be increased spamming in cities and increased server load since people who normally would be logged out would leave toons logged in as a bazaar. Aion had this system and it was brutal. non stop spam and personal stores every where. I would prefer an actual AH, but since that is not happening, the present guild stores is workable

This was done in Aion It was called player shops, you could set up a shop as a player and sell anything in your inventory, I really liked the idea, and, I imaging it would be great for RP peddling your wears in different zones.

I for one think this would be great in ESO.
