Its been a year; obviously they cant fix it.

It would be ironic if its 1 dodgy cable connecting 2 cluster server with intermittent errors.
A couple of quid cable bringing the game to a standstill for months.
Having it applied to US and EU servers kind of rules that out though.

The only way they can get to the bottom of this is traffic/packet size/frequency analysis and find the bottleneck under stress.
1st they have to find the bottleneck [they found a contributing hardware fault on EU]
Then they have to understand the nature of the bottleneck.
They they have to come with a fix.

No doubt someone could guess and hit a bulls eye with a magic bullet, but perhaps they want to be thorough and do it the methodical way.
Hopefully they don't have to use 100% of the methodical method or we could be in for a long long wait.
I think they should be using much more aggressive client side analysis/snapshot too.
Sometimes its easier to ask why someone doesn't have a problem instead of why someone does have a problem.

I am waiting to see if console has any lag issues at all.

This could be a problem with database shards being out of sync as a player switches servers.
It could be bugged skills.
It could be a whole host of other things at the end of the day.
Intermittent errors that cant be reproduced are an arse ache.

Best thing we can do is find ways to reproduce them at leisure without fail and hand it over to ZOS.
To me its just a skill backlog issue....a few people in combat for a very long time or a lot of people in combat for a very short time. Until the backlog overwhelms the server. Server underlight load wont have an issue as its gots plenty of spare capacity...prime time is another matter.

Love how people think this is a simple thing to fix. it sadly is not, most likely it is something within the megaserver itself and (i hope) they do fix it. Though rather pointless threads such as this do not help in the least. Heck who knows maybe they will fix it if people start to leave. Hope you find something to play in the mean time.

2. There are a lot of things they could do to fix this, and guess what My job, My money, and my degree prove I know more about computers, programming etc.. then you ever will. I don't care if you believe me because you and your opinion mean nothing to me.

3. You talk about a " Mega server " as if it's one server , it's not... Do us all a favor and don't talk until you know more.
