Console BETA keys all gone or not?
Just a question for ZoS, The Twitter account is stating that all the BETA invites have been sent out, whilst on here the ZoS mods are stating that they are still being sent out.
Could you let us know which information is correct? Please and thankyou

And u can give some the ones that did not get ones a code because there is a pole on the with only like 8% for xbone and 9%for ps40 -

The poll was done before a large number of the codes were sent out. If you skip ahead a page you'll see a lot of the "no" votes later got a code.

The thing is most of us on here signed up last year for it, then when the console versions were delayed we bought the PC version to take them up on their transfer offer, so not only have we paid for the PC version, we've supported the game, and paid for the console version. Yet that apparently means nothing.1

4 days of playing the beta is all it takes for it to mean something? I was all in for the console version and only bought PC version based on the promises made, and for the most part I'm getting what was promised. If I wanted to be upset it would be over the delay, or over something other than missing out on a 4 day publicity blitz... I mean beta.

Yes but it's a chance to finally get to grips with ESO on the console, get a feeling for the controls, be able to finally play with your friends.
It doesn't matter that it's only 4 days, it's the principal. We've waited so long, supported the game the whole time, and we don't even get to test out what we've been waiting for.3 -

Yeah true, it's just frustrating that PC Twitch streamers that have no intention to buy on console get a key, just so they can boost their views, but the people that have already given ZoS their money for the console version don't.
I'd just like some clarification, you know the statement on Twitter is correct or are there still some invites to be sent out to people.1 -

We can confirm that all console beta invitations for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited have been sent.1 -

I couldn't agree more, I just put in a complaint to Bethesda about Zos. maybe we will get our beta keys. But they never stated this was gonna be a limited last minute beta way back when... Smh think real hard here man. We paid them money to buy the PC game. We paid them to sub to play up til now. We (some of us myself included) are still paying them subscription to support the game. We will have to pay them more to get the console version. Yet people who have not put a cent in this game get keys while paying subscribers get passed over? This is an insult.4 -

The lack of transparency, preparation and advanced notice of this Beta is appalling. It's like ZOS is running some shady, fly-by-night operation.
If you received a Beta key you either are a streamer or you had some sort of connection (such as a media outlet) or you were just lucky.2 -

What is there to think hard about, where is the insult? You paid for a game, you got a game. You paid a subscription and are subscribed to a game. You are getting what you paid for. Nothing more, nothing less. Paying into a game doesn't entitle you to something above and beyond what was promised and delivered based on your payments.
What people didn't put a cent into this game while still getting into the beta? Have any evidence of that? I find it hard to believe that people applied for the beta a year ago and never paid anything in that time.

They should make it open for all and just put the game in the store for a beta until the game comes out they've did it for Neverwinter beta that's how I play that game for a wait0

✭I woud have thought its in their best interest to get as many of those that have stuck with the game and love it, to test the console versions before it gets released to the wider public.
Having a handful (compared to all those that have brought it) testing, will probably not show up lag problems etc in the same way as when everyone is online at the same time.,

Not going to argue with stupidity. This is my last post to you. Yes I am getting what I "paid" for. A massive lagfest both in and out of PvP. Broken ass abilities and no punishment for cheating scum like those sorcs on ep (u know who).

daniel_dabloonsSoul ShrivenI'm a little butt hurt over this for a couple reasons:
1) I signed up for the Xbox one beta over a year ago and have been anxiously waiting for the beta to start, checking for updates on a daily basis.
2) I got super excited when I received the beta survey email back on 4/15, in which I submitted back the day I received it (on 4/15). I feel like the beta survey was a cheap trick. Why send the survey out to people who signed up for the beta, get their hopes up and excited for the upcoming beta test, then NOT send them a code? wtf guys?..... I feel like if you received the beta survey, you should have gotten a beta invite. period.
3) I could be wrong here, but it definitely seems like there's more people who did NOT receive a key vs. the people who DID receive a key. Which seems strange seeing how this beta test is for an MMO game. I did participate in the PC beta, which may have kicked me out of the running for the console beta (IF that's how it even works). Also, it seemed like there were WAY more invites sent out for the PC beta then there has been for the console beta.
4) I've been a monthly subscriber since day one.... my account is still active and I still pay monthly (even though I RARELY play on PC). I'm hearing rumors that people who have already paid or pre-ordered the game did not receive a beta invite....if that's true, that's kind of messed up.
It's not the end of the world and I can certainly wait the extra 6 weeks for the official game release, but I definitely think it was wrong of ZeniMax to send surveys out to potential beta participants, say something like "keep an eye out because the beta test is coming soon", then announce the beta test unexpectedly (it seemed a little last minute to me) and follow up with "not everyone who received a beta survey will get an invite."
Like I said, it's not the end of the world but it is a little disappointing. I was very excited when I received the survey email and I feel it was unnecessary to get everyone's hopes up and excited for the beta, just to drop them.

If you thought buying something clenched your access to a randomly selected beta, you lied to yourself. Sorry. Unless you can find a document stating that would happen. Then, in that case, back to the up-in-arms-ness by all means.2
