Another night of crashes . . . Disheartened!

I know this should be posted in support, but somehow I get the sense that devs might be paying more attention in this section of the forums.
I've been a diehard fan from the beginning of the game's beta and early release, and always felt that complainers were blowing things out of proportion and promoting negativity.
However, after a full year of playing with minimal problems, I've spent the last 2 nights constantly crashing to log-in screen. It always starts with the interact key not working. I'll press 'E' to do dialog or open a door. Or, in combat my abilities don't fire off. Wait a few moments (still able to move around), and then cue the screen to go black, and log-in screen to appear.
Nothing has changed on my end, and yes, I've disabled all add-ons.

This is a radical change in game function since patch 2.06.

I suspect with the impending drop of console beta, and subsequent full on console launch they are putting more resources into it than usual, I would hope to think they would have a seperate team, but as someone who works at an agency / company that designs and builds games / websites deadlines change constantly, and one day you may have to drop what you're doing to aid the rest of the team with whatever the boss man says needs the most attention. Try contacting them through support, I did earlier today and had an answer in under an hour, which was quite a suprise to me. Good luck!

Most games tend to work out connection bugs as they get older. TESO seems to be going in reverse. Connection issues are more frequent and loading screens are getting longer.

This happened to me last night as well. Haven't had problems before so I'm hoping it was just a server hiccup or a temporary issue.

If this is ongoing for other people that's a shame.

If you can move around and you cant do anything that's a connection issue.
If your screen literally freezes and you don't get a message saying "virtual memory low", most likely its the game's issue.
If you get a message "virtual memory low" and your game freezes, well than its your computer not having enough RAM.

But yes, crashing to log in screen, that sounds like your connection might have had a hiccup or something.
Do you have a stable connection? I live in the dorms and its stable most of the time but it will hiccup every now and then.
Even when I'm back home, sometimes my connection will just, ya know be stupid and not work for a lil bit.

What you can do when this happens that helps, is alt tab out, and open up internet explorer and go to www.google.com, basically what it does is help refreshes your connection. If google is having issues loading than your out of luck. If google website appears than your connection should come back, and if it doesn't, maybe it took too long to come back OR, its the games connection that is bad. I use google.com because its literally the fastest loading website.

Like this image, that's clearly the games fault, my computer is running perfectly fine, nothing spiking it or anything and all sudden.... Wait for it... RKO!!!!!!! My game freezes and is dead and I have to close it and open it back up, click really fast through all that game logo spam, log back in, wait through that loading screen, pick my character again... so much to do just to get to playing the game. In GW2 you literally log in, enter game, goes right to character select, and your in the game. So frigging simple and easy compared to how many steps it takes to enter into this game. But yes this image is clearly the games fault. What was I doing before this happened? Pretty much talking in zone chat and riding in circles trying to figure out what I should do. Then my game gets RKO'ed!!! outta nowhere. w7ij5dez8frn.png

No what else I find dumb, is how that launcher still remains after your in the game. Perhaps the problem is that launcher not closing like it should. In GW2 when you enter the game, the launcher closes. I haven't played EQ in a LONG time, but I'm pretty sure that launcher closes. This is the only game I notice that the launcher remains open after you enter the game.

Posting in support won't help. This has been happening since the beginning and it's only getting worse. Logging into the game seems to be a 5step quest anymore.

I have crashes to log in screen every night, maybe 10 times or more. This is usually in AVA but not always. In fact , I'm dead right now in the middle of a large battle from lagging out and crashing.

It annoys me when people immediately say " It's probably on your end" or " it's your computer". I have a high end machine that I built myself running around 65 mbps through fiber.

I believe that they are motivated to make the game better but haven't reached an efficient solution to address this issue.
There are more people , especially in AVA that suffer from this problem than not. I think they just got tired of posting about it.

My take is that if I'm laying down 60.00 or more for a game it's their responsibility to make sure it's playable.

Yeah, tonight was a lag- and crashfest here, too. Or to say it in other words, a PITA of the first degree.

I've been on with all characters in different places, and the worst I've noticed was in Windhelm where I took about 3 attempts to crash and stutter from the bank to the crafting stations, then down to the (later) "Grey Quarter" to the dyestation and the other crafting buildings.. the same thing back to the bank. I couldn't walk 5 meters without an fps drop to zero, and it crashed about 3 times in each direction.

I've had months playing this game with about 1 crash a week or less, but after update 6, it happens every 30-60 minutes. When in towns, then it crashes about every 5 minutes, depends on the traffic. Really, I have enough.

I have a really ***, virus ridden (***) computer and I never crash. The only time I do is when my *** pc freezes and I got to hard reset my pc. I use mass amounts of add ons, and usually have stuff running in background (ultima online) I don't understand why I don't have these problems. I have my graphics settings extremely low, wich is why I'm changing to console but I don't know if that would make the difference.

Setting your graphics setting to low means you are using less vid ram. I am beginning to suspect the game has a memory leak that ZEOS cannot find.

Normally what happens is an instant change from above average performance to very bad performance where the fps drops into the red and everything on the screen is standing still while the music is still playing.

Then after a few minutes you end up on the log in screen.

This is a server connection issue , anyone with at least 4G of RAM can run the game fine on medium setting without any hitching or stuttering.

This seems highly unlikely or everyone playing would be experiencing the same issues. I have never had the game crash on me. I have mid level custom gaming rig (AMD Vishera 6300, EVGA GTX 960, 16GB Ram, Biostar TA970 Mobo) and I have not even once experienced any issues like this, and I have been playing almost daily for the past few months. I think these issues come down to your PC. A memory leak would be apparent for all users equally, as available memory would quickly be eaten up, and even the highest RAM machines would eventually max out and crash. These kinds of issues are likely due to either connections, or individual systems. Setting the graphics too high for your machine will DEFINITELY cause issues like this. I think most players that experience these crashes could eliminate the issue be setting the graphics as low as possible, seeing what happens, and if there are no issues, bump them up a notch at a time.

I have had the same things going on that the OP describes since Update 6 was released:
    - Interact key not working.
    - In combat my abilities won't activate
    - Light/Heavy attacks not working
    - No zoning/wayshrine'ing
    - After a few moments or a minute I am thrown to the login screen with no error message

Since I have been in TeamSpeak and or Skype at the same time and these applications didn't close down I seriously doubt that it's been a connection issue; at least not a general one.

same here .for 2 days now unable to play since 2.0.6 , i login ,move and run with no problem, but once i try to interact with anything (click e),may it be a character or flower or even swapping,it doesnt do it and if it does than after 20 seconds or so ,and after a few seconds later i'm back at the login screen.i'll tell you, game worked perfect for me for the past 6 months.
u remember a while back, ppl used to get this message when they got kicked to the main screen, with warning of not spamming? seems the same issue now, but now the server senses that u try to do something once ,and it doesnt work,so u try again, and than server senses it as spam and throws u back to main screen, without any warning anymoe..
try the following: login to game, and just move around with no interaction with anything, you'll see that u dont get disconnected than.for me that's a clear answer the problem is server side .if it was really router/pc/memory than u wouldnt be able to do anything at all.

You may be right, but a lot of reports, my self included, is the crashing happens after playing for a while, usually an hour to two hours for me. That may, and I do say MAY, point to a memory leak somewhere in the mix here.

Cyrodiil was the worst I've seen in a long time last night. I was running with a full raid group taking a keep where both of the other alliances were present. Our entire raid group crashed while on one of the flags. Every time we logged back in, we would immediately crash again. This happened to me four times in a row. I was then able to respawn to turn in quests and immediately crashed again. This sort of thing never happened to me prior to 1.6. The entire night was very laggy. Bottom line - ZOS has not delivered as advertised when it comes to Cyrodiil.

I wish some of you people would learn to differentiate between system performance issues and connection issues.

Timing out and getting bumped to the log in screen has nothing to do with your rig or your gfx settings.

The situation as it stands is becoming escalated and frankly I'm starting to get to the point where I'm fed up with it.

I have disconnected to the log in screen 5 times in the last 2 hours.

    This is ruining pvp completely.

This last lag out disconnect we had the emperor cornered in a farm house after losing both our scrolls and just before killing him this crap happens again. I get back in game to find myself dead again.
