Impressions of PS4 watching on twitch streams

The graphics look pretty spot on to the PC version. Looks crisp, colorful, smooth etc. Frame rate looked pretty high as well (but not many people are on yet).
That might end my positive impressions though.
To me and other viewers, the console version looks like it really wants to be a 1 player game. You can't see how much damage you are dealing to a target, there is no chat box at all etc.
This brings up a few questions I hope can be answered by an actual player in the coming days - How would a deaf/hard of hearing player be a part of the community? How exactly do you form a PVP group without standing next to the person doing the inviting? Is there a LFG channel you can bring up as a group leader? How do you notify other groups in PVP that you would like assistance taking/defending a keep if they are not in your voice channel?
That might end my positive impressions though.

In PVP you want to ask for help taking a keep. How do you go about doing so to a group a mile away?

My point was that people are treating this beta as though it were launch. I fully expect issues at launch, but from what I've been watching (a PS4 stream), the game already looks really polished. Much more so than the PC version was, and I played in the PC betas for nearly a year.1 -

Yea theyev said several times this is only beta for console.
But support also said zone chat was in the game. What ever ansewer suits there needs.
And you can claim this is a beta but people are expecting a finished product with all the delays, too bad were getting scaled down version of pc game.

Well there ya go. Game is crap because there's no zone chat. Give it an 'F' because I can't type uselessly to strangers. There's still methods of communicating with your group members and guild members. Knowing this I may make the switch to a console version.
You'll have to show me where I assigned an alphabetical grade for the console version. I don't recall doing so. The lack of a chat makes the game incredibly limited for basic communication. What if voice chat goes down during a raid? How about during PVP? The game at that point becomes almost unplayable.
If you ever played DC Universe on the console, you will know that voice chat can be VERY unreliable. Given how much lag we see on the PC side with our OWN third party voice apps not being processed by the mega server, this could be very thin ice.

Thinking zerging is going to be big just like pc, if not bigger for consoles...more concern with how the cam seems limited for them given some siege weapons work best when you can pull the cam all the way back to see a whole area around some places

I suspect there will be channels via voice chat with toggle mute on players. All i have to point out is Destiny uses the same setup. It works really well easy to mute at will etc. I wish them luck with this as i think its a good idea.

Can you tell who is making the noise in that game? This game doesn't even have name tags over people's heads, and you can only identify people easily by targeting them at close range.
