So we already know what we'll be seeing in Update 6 - A LOT of gameplay revamps and changes, including the Champion and Justice Systems, a revamp of Provisioning, improvements to fishing, better animal/creature hunting (part of the Provisioning revamp), and tons and tons of ability and class changes. So, here's what I hope will come in March:
- Phase 4 of the Champion System, which will remove Veteran Ranks altogether and place the cap at level 50. This needs to be a top priority at ZOS.
- Imperial City. Please show PvPers some love, we haven't had anything since launch!
- Spellcrafting. I can't wait for this feature! It probably might find its way into Update 8, though. It's a huge element of gameplay that will require alot of testing.
- Post-Creation Character Customization. What if we want to change the way we look mid-game? The MMO WildStar will have this exact feature coming in their 4th update, and Skyrim has a face sculptor as well. Most of ESO's major systems will be just about finished by then, so why not allocate some resources to a barber shop or face sculptor? Surely it can't require that much resources. Lots of players do want to change the way they look.
- More Mounts! We have Guar and Senche-Tiger mounts, but why not even more awesome mounts such as a Wamasu or a Mammoth?
- More Music! Now don't get me wrong, lots of tracks from ESO are awesome, but after a while some of it does get a little...bland. Zones need more music, and we are in DESPERATE need of some good combat music. Music is a HUGE factor in combat epicness. A track like Weapons Drawn is PERFECT music for a siege. There also seem to be tons of unreleased tracks, like the really darn good track that plays in the opening cutscene. Just having some good combat music would increase the epicness factor tenfold. Skyrim's combat music should be an example of what ESO should have.
- Increased View Distance. ZOS promised us this in an interview many months ago, so it shouldn't be far away. ESO's view distance is really lacking and limits what you can see.
- Quality of Life Improvements to Exploration - Why on earth do we slide off of people's rooftops? And why are there invisible walls when we climb near the top of a mountain? Removing these silly barriers, which shouldn't even be there in the first place, would be some nice quality-of-life improvements.
- Addressing of server lag in PvP - ZOS should be discouraging zergs as much as possible - and upgrade their servers while they're at it.
So, that's what I hope we'll see in Update 7! This will likely be the last update before consoles, so this update is definitely going to be a big one. But before you release the console versions, ZOS, make sure they're polished and don't make the same mistake you did at launch!
