CAN SEVERAL PLAYSTATION NETWORK OR XBOX LIVE ACCOUNTS SHARE ACCESS TO ONE ESOTU ACCOUNT?

Accounts for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on console are each tied to a unique PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. Attempts to link a different PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account to an ESOTU console account will result in an error.

Account sharing is also a violation of our Terms of Service and can result in a permanent account ban. Players can view our Terms of Service here: https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/terms-of-service.

    yup, there is no ifs there unless you want them to play on your exact profile.

    IT would be like asking if your friend have his own, personal account, but still use YOUR subscription while you are playing on your own.

    Using Xbox Live Gold sharing features on Xbox One
    Overview

    Here’s how Xbox Live Gold members can extend their Gold membership benefits to multiplayer gaming, Game DVR, and Smart Match.

    At home: Set up your Xbox One console at home so that anyone who uses it can enjoy multiplayer gaming, even if you’re not home or signed in to the console.
    On the go: Sign in at a friend’s house, where everyone can enjoy multiplayer gaming while you’re signed in.
    At home with Xbox One

    As an Xbox Live Gold member, you can share the benefits of Xbox Live Gold with others while they’re using your Xbox One console in your home. Friends and family can simply create their own account and gamertag on the console, which gives them the ability to enjoy Xbox Live online multiplayer gaming.

    Friends or family members with their own gamertags coming over to play? No problem. They can sign in and play online multiplayer games, even if you sign off.

    At a friend’s house with Xbox One

    When you go to a friend’s house, you’ll be able to play multiplayer games on their Xbox One console, even if your friend is not a Gold subscriber. Once you sign in with your Xbox Live Gold account, everyone using that console can access multiplayer games for as long as you’re signed in.

    What Home Gold means for the Xbox One experience

    With Xbox One, everyone in your home has a personalized account to enable powerful and personal experiences. That’s one of the reasons we created Home Gold. It means that your account and your gamertag are truly yours. You don’t have to share your gamertag for multiplayer gaming with others in your home, or have recommendations for your children appear next to recommendations for the adults in the family. It also means you can introduce new games to and enjoy multiplayer games with visiting friends. When you buy one Xbox Live Gold membership, multiple people can enjoy the best benefits of Xbox Live Gold on your Xbox One at no additional charge.

    The type of Game they were talking about are normal Xbox one games, this has nothing to do with MMOs. The MMO account is directly linked to the account, not the xbox.

    as i said above, it would be like asking if your friend can use your computer and gain access to the game, but use a differenct account then the one you bought.

    EDIT: notice the specific wording: "YOUR ACCOUNT" not anyone elses.

    There are already MMO's on Xbox and Microsoft's policy has held up with those as well. I can't imagine ZOS being able to over throw Microsoft's policy. If it's on your home console and the other accounts are tied to yours as well, I don't see how you wouldn't be able to play it. It's been that way with every game for years now.

    I agree but just reading the two it seems either ps4 differs or they (ZOS) aren't familiar with Xbox One features and program benefits so they listed a standard policy that applies to PC

    Also it's a double standard because those with a game disc can share which is the point of this setup on Xbox one as digital customer were on the short end of the stick

    There's a simple solution for this.

    Do it anyway!

    However, looking at the support page, it looks like you need to have a different XBL account for every ESO account you want to use... Which is iffy. Actually this does intrigue me, so Gary, if you read this, does that mean you need to pay for a XBL account and an ESO account for every single person living in your house, or can you just use one XBL account and use that to log into multiple ESO accounts? :confused:

    Account sharing is probably against the TOS because they want to discourage hacks or leaking info so you don't get your account stolen, still, an official reply would be nice, you should link one of the ZOS forum peops like @ZOS_GaryA Come get this man a response Gary! :wink:

    FF14 is the same way, only one account is tied to SE any other profile on my console results in needing another subscription. It makes sense if its a subscription only game but this is B2P with an optional sub maybe its MMO thing?

    Sounds like 1 account per gold membership. But mutiple people can log in an out of a given console. So as long as everyone has their own profile and gold/ps+ should just be a matter of user login and out.

    Aounds pretty clear to me. They want their 60$ theres no sub now so gotta get the box sale. Pretty sure they want every console accunt to pay that 60 or do the pc copy for 20$

    Because Xbox's policy affords this right and is one of the many benefits to buying an Xbox One.
    Also anyone who buys a disc copy is able to share with anyone in their house and outside (one at a time just like digital games but digital is limited to a specific console)

    Sorry about the PC rules but consoles don't work that way

    This is absolutely hilarious - and disheartening at the same time- what you are asking for makes no sense, how long have you been playing games and do you know nothing about commercial sales????

    What you are wanting is similar to myself demanding that because i bought my pc account, i SHOULD be allowed to share; share is such a poor word that you use because you can't share an mmo account; to SHARE my game with all the computers in my network at home.

    This isnt possible so what you are asking for is to buy the game once, one payment for one account, yes? But for them to treat every xbox login as a SEPARATE account. Let's say you have 3 X box 1's - you buy one game - you demand 2 more accounts for free???? AHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA sweet lord what people come up with these days I don't know about about your rules but mmo accounts have NEVER worked that way... sure you may be able to share that one game to all the consoles - but only one person would be able to play the game at a time. so stop being a scrooge and cough up those sweet $$$

    I would have to agree with the NewBlackSmurf. I understand MS policy to be the same as you. Any of the accounts my family created on my XBox One (that are not paying for live BTW, just mine, the "home" account) have access to all my games that require a unique profile:

    * GTA 5
    * Battlefield 4
    * COD Ghosts
    * Dragon Age: Inq
    * There are more, I'm just at work, and no coffee yet so...

    These all require accounts to be created at the developers sites for the root ( or "home" ) account and all 4 sub accounts that share my XBL access them independently with no issues. I will see what happens when I try to login to Neverwinter on my wifes sub account, that was created on my XBox, and shares my XBox Live. If it works, I will add it to the list.

    Though I am with the NewBlackSmurf on this one. It should work, as it is the design of the system and its policies. B)

    I think the Battlefield 4 example is best, for me at least. I spent $60 on the game, then I think another $50? (Its been a while) on the Premium subscription where you get all DLC etc early, and covered under 1 price, plus GameStop got my install a few perks from the Pre-Order.

    Every sub account on my XBox One was able to play the game under their own account, and had access to ALL the DLC, weapons, and features of the Premium Perks. All this without Buying a copy of the game for every profile on the same console.

    Key here @Krycek89 is that its 1 install of the game. I think @NewBlacksmurf is correct in wanting clarification. Could someone with beta create a sub account, or have their significant other create a character using their own profile on the same XBox One?

    Thank you for clarifying, ok so what your saying is that you buy for instance wow for xbox- now you bought it once all accounts on the xbox one - ( yes the one different people log into on the one console ) your saying you want different game accounts for each login on the xbox???
