The FCC is looking more and more prescient in raising the definition of broadband Internet service in the U.S. to 25 Mbps even though nearly half of the country couldn't get that level of service even if people were willing to pay the $50-$100 monthly fee.
If you already have that many games on your XB1 already, delete games you don't play anymore or shift them to an external drive like this one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V7RJCD6/) to make room for games you play more often.
True, but who will download a 65GB huge game just for try and limited to 4 days!
One and PS4 install all games now. I know with ps4 you can play after a short initial install the rest of the game will continue to install.
This is definatly the biggest console game ever. In my experiances my consoles going back to the xbox 360, ps3 and now ps4 always download slower then my PC does. Both have wired connections too. I definatly would not to be DLing 65GB. Sometimes on 360 downloading a 7 GB game was a big enough chore.
Anyways, I'll be playing ESO on PC still, will never play it on PS4.
Or maybe they are reading people who have a slow Internet connection like me and they are reducing the file size and don't put the full game into beta...
I suspect that one of the reasons they're staggering the invites is because they don't want their network saturated at once with so many people downloading such a huge install. 65 GB ain't nothing to sneeze at, even in this age of broadband and cloud computing.
Makes me wish I were one of the lucky very, very few with a fiber connection.
is your pc install somehow magically smaller?

Weird when I go under manage game (Xbox one) it's 54gig. I wonder if it differs based on where your Xbox is set regionally
Heh, they have a limited period and a short one at that for testing... Yet it requires a 50+gb download. I wonder how populated the servers will be? Maybe I can catch someone streaming from PSN. I'd like to see the final concept for controller schema and it's options.
are these posters new to mmorpg's?

the real "problem" is console players expecting the console port of a pc game to look as good as the pc game, but somewhow expecting all of the files to magically be smaller?

Can you name a larger game besides Star Citizen?
Can you name a larger game on consoles?
Don't get me wrong, I like large games. Saying 65GB is "not much" though is just incorrect though. That's a very large game by any system's (or even PC) standards.

Still, 42 GB for the PC and 54 GB for XB1 just seems odd and backwards, considering the lack of graphical options/settings in the XB1 version.

My wife actually got me a extra 1tb usb 3.0 external drive for my xbox for whenever I finally blow out my storage. As of now though im just deleting Neverwinter when this launches as I only need one mmo.
Also for those freaking out dragon age was nearly as big and was just fine too.

ZOS please extend the beta time an additional week please.
Even without downloading anything else, I have no chance of getting it before Tuesday on my home connection. I'm having to download it at public internet spots when I can, but it's still iffy.jcodbf2b14_ESO wrote: »ZOS please extend the beta time an additional week please.
