Thoughts for the Mage class enhancement. (ESO dev's this one is for you)

Greetings ESO and developers…

… I am actually making this threat to see if I am not the only one that think the same and perhaps want the same change or opportunity to have more diversity in the Mage skill set called “Storm Calling” I am not going talk neither ask any change to stats etc… I am talking about eye candy/visual difference between the opportunity of using the fire, ice staff with the skill called "Storm Calling".

As I was playing for the first time as a Mage in which case I fall in love with this crazy class, because I feel is more dps than the NB I had in beta. I was wondering while I play and level my sorcerer, why in the seven kingdoms (GoT reference lol) there is no any chance to an opportunity for us to having the skill sets for fire and ice. I mean, we have already lighting but what about fire & ice? From my perspective it will be an incredible satisfaction for me being able to “domain each element”.

It will be more than not just fun, but many more opportunities to have options (as I stated before) my thoughts on this skill set called “Storm Calling” can even be change to be called “Elemental Calling” (crazy possible thought) I don’t know if you guys will be implementing any other skill set with fire and ice under the mage class, or have thought on do something to add a skill set for fire and ice.

The fact that I can change the skill sets under the destruction staff by changing the staff from fire to ice and lighting and those skill change accordingly to the staff, make me thought, why this doesn’t work the same with “storm calling ” skill? Honestly I think it could work, perhaps like I stated again, change the name for “Elemental Calling” instead? And each staff that we use from fire to ice and lighting this “Elemental Calling” will change accordingly depending the staff we use? < (I think I repeat myself).

Maybe you guys are going to implement more skill to mage? “Fire Calling” “Ice Calling” or with difference names that go with each element? I don’t know, but is a thought that has being in my head each time I play this mage class since I have play this class. And I know in Skyrim and other elder scroll games I have the chance to use the elements to my advantage as I see fit to use. I mean after all "I am a mage", right? Mages control any element according to fantasy history? Lol

P.s. Nah but seriously think about it, and if any of the dev’s can give me some hiccup / clue if there will be something on the way with other elements for the mage class? Please feel free to let us/me know. If any of the players here have any thoughts and want to share your thoughts and or are the same as mine, welcome and feel free to let them know and us the same.

By "mage" you probably mean "Sorcerer", as I consider my magicka based dragon knight a "pyromancer"/"fire mage". As for bringing in more elements, this was shown in spellcrafting - however they will not be sorcerer exclusive.

And I consider my magica Nightblade a shadow/bloodmage, and my templar magica build a light/ healing mage. I really wish people would stop steriotyping the classes based on name...
This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!

Isn't there frost magic in the destruction line? Destro staffs can be ice or fire, among other things.

IT, is, though as far as i kno, it is the weakest of the three elements on the staff

but i THINK his point is that you are FORCED to use a staff. For example, i would personally love to make a Frost Death knight type of character, but can't because there is no Ice based abilities that can be used with a Greatsword.

You refer to the Sorcerer as the "mage". This deeply saddens me.

@Brandalf Yeah whatever, despite I think most of people get the point anyhow. (mage can be and do anything as a sorcerer/a healer a necromancer)<--- those names are like the definition of mages (depends if you see it that way). People with comments like yours saddens me.

@rb2001 If you are writing that to me, I am talking about "Storm Calling"

@AngryNord Yes there is, I am referring to the idea of using any destruction staff and by using such the skill line called "Storm Calling" can be change depending the staff element they have, as the destruction staff skill lines do, but with the "Elemental Calling" (if they change it so that skill can change depending the staff you use) Obviously there is a ice and fire attacks, but those are only use for staff tree line.
