A puzzling bug

When I log on with a character for any given session, the very first time I enter combat I get one message saying "You cannot log out in combat."

It doesn't seem to actually affect anything (I can fight normally), but it's so strange that it only happens the first time after logging in. Anyone else get this?

I've seen that. At first I wondered what my clumsy fat fingers might have pressed, but it's pretty hard to try to logout without noticing

It's a bug that's been in the game for a long time, possibly forever, ZOS don't seem inclined to fix it.

OK cool, so it's not just my setup. Well as far as bugs go I have to admit that this one does seem pretty benign, it just makes me super curious as to why the game thinks I am trying to log out...

I've see it too, I kept meaning to mention it and forget.

It doesn't bother me (especially since I used Azurah to move the messages to a small line above the chat box) but it does seem odd. At first I thought it was because I'd moved all my keybindings over to the right hand side of the keyboard, I thought maybe a key I wasn't using but kept pushing was bound to log out, but I've gone through and checked them all since then and it's not that.

Yeah, at least it's only the notice. It's a much bigger pain when it actually won't let you log out and you're not in combat.
