Why do weekly updates average almost a GB recently?

Keep this game up to date is really starting to become quite a turn off.

    It's a cutting edge game, you can expect gigabyte sized patches now and then. They've been very small lately.

    Regardless of whether or not your recognize it, or how you feel about it, or your personal circumstance, significant bandwidth is going to be required for modern gaming moving forward.

    1GB patch on a 1GB game, that is a problem. A patch that is less than 1GB on a game that is almost 40GB installed, in this case the patch is less than 1/4 GB? That sounds about right.

    Also, horrible analogy. So it should cost 10 times as much to change the oil on a Ferrari over a Hyundai because it's more expensive?

    Maybe they are trying to spread out the downloads, responding to negative feedback about huge (10+ Gig) downloads.

    If people are complaining about 250-1g downloads, when the alternative is 10-15 gig downloads, please make up your mind.
