Kickback in Legerdemain (idea for change)

When I'm thieving, the point is to not get caught and keep my hard-earned cash! Therefore, I won't pay any bounties. I'll die trying to escape! That's the fun of it. I think kickback would be more useful if it where designed to increase the decay rate of bounties. Call it 'Smoke and Mirrors' or 'Diversion' or something to that effect. It could reflect one's elusive and deceptive nature in the world of subterfuge. "Yes officer, the thief sort of had a....well, he was about this tall...I think? Oh I don't know, she was too fast for me to get a look...I think she went that way..."

The trail goes cold fast on an experienced criminal.

I think Kickback is actually kind of nice. I don't fork anything over to the guards, either, but it's a pain to deal with them stopping/attacking you while you move from victim to victim place to place. Therefore, whenever I get back to a fence, I pay my bounty down to zero, so I can get back to stealing without interference.

With maxed Kickback, if I get spotted while picking/looting a safebox, my usual line of thought is "Ah well, whatever". I'll pick the lock, take everything while detected, and keep going; the resulting bounty payment is still less than the value I'm likely to get out of that safebox. Basically, it tips the balance to where all but the worst screw-ups are still profitable.

I agree with all you have written. I find a reduced bounty is a nice thing but I don't like the guards taking all of my stolen items when I pay a low bounty. So, I will usually wait it out or stop by and unload my "goods". A drop off is not always time efficient when I'm on a spree!

Getting caught inside is just a bad day for us sneaks.

Fun at first, now it's a decent money maker. (and not with the recent patch, not even a money maker)

I like the idea of added skills. I think a third morph, or just a boost of some skills already in game that are thief like, even really small stuff

Caltrops - adds a poison DoT

Dark Cloak/Shadowey cloak - Increase duration by .1 seconds

Flying Blade - Increase range by 2 meters // Maybe additional poison DoT

    Reften
    Bosmer (Wood Elf)
Moonlight Crew (RIP), Misfitz (RIP), Victorem Guild

VR16 NB, Stam build, Max all crafts.

Azuras & Trueflame. Mostly PvP, No alts.

Semi-retired till the lag is fixed.

Love the Packers, Bourbon, and ESO...one of those will eventually kill me.
