Weapon swapping sucks everywhere. As a togglemancer, I have to do it often. You have to basically stop everything for a fraction of a second and hit the swap button. It's not a long time but it's enough time to get hit.

Depends on what key it's bound to. I have it on the MMB and it works great, don't have to worry about reaching for other keys.

I do wish they'd do something to clean up some of the lag, not just in PvP but PvE too. I understand code can be hard to work out, but after more than a year I'd have expected more than removing the animals/bugs and trying to tempt people into smaller groups with AP buffs for fighting PvE stuff in Cyro and stuff.

weapon swap:

1) download /cancelcast addon;
2) i believe what most people do in the weapon swap button: /cancelcast button, 0.050ms wait, switch weapon button; 0.050ms wait, /cancelcast button;
3) of course, everyone I know does it manually and no one so far I've ever seen using instant weapon swap uses macros or razer synapse.. (rolleyes)

can also have instant weapon swap (whatever bar) + heal ward + harness + any other non-shared internal cooldown heal or buff with the click of button and go back to your main weapon bar.. of course, you need to use /cancelcast between each skill so they all become instant with no animations.

like all the youtube / twitch pros, you can just 'cancel animation' for all of it and never get it wrong, the game will look more responsive unless you have 350ms latency like I do..then my friend, nothing will save ya!

It's working as intended.
To think they still don't see the need for revamped systems shows that it's not a priority. Being able to play the game fluidly is not as important as fluff objects in the store.

You shouldn't have to download an addon to fix a basic function.
Your comment made me slow down and think of all the addon I use. How many are for fluff, graphics etc? How many are to fix broken or poorly implemented parts of the game.
In Skyrim I ran about 100 mods. Few were for poorly designed features, most were for graphics and what not.
This game however every single addon is to fix or better use parts of the games ui.
With that realization I'm going to take the next two days and ponder dumping it all together or Sucker myself into thinking it's going to get better.

look I don't agree with the priority system.. However, a lot of people use such to gain edge over others, and while I believe they should fix it I am also telling you an alternative to instant weapon swap + 4 skills + swap again in less than a second all actions.

Does it fix the game? No.. But at least now you have a way of bloody switching the weapon just like so many others do already.. Btw, they already said they won't fix it, so you might as well

This cancel cast was never to fix anything, is an addon created for the sole purpose of exploiting an 'issue' ZOS made clear is not an issue (animation canceling) because people can also cancel using block or bash, but both incur in movement speed loss while this method doesn't.

I personally don't run many addons, ggframes, srendarr and a few others like combat cloud to try to understand what is going on in combat..

I played for over two hours in Cyro last night and experienced one brief 3-5 second rubberband / de-synch - I was following one of the major Chillrend guilds and outside ~+60 player zergs the entire time.

Don't for get today is national overpay for stupid digital clothing in a video game day. Get your new limited edition hip waders on because this game is becoming a pile of quick.

Because they can't without starting over again, and it's too late for that now.
The entire game should have been postponed three years, and tested, before being sold.

Exactly why I let my sub run out a month or two after launch. There was just way too much broken. There still is, but at least it's free. So for now I'll play, and if it gets better, I'll be dropping some cash in the crown store.

Weapon swap is a big part of gameplay (and I enjoy it) but it should be smoother/easier to do while in combat.
Also
you should be able to cast while jumping in mid air, and also while swimming.

The lack of player auras is sad.
The lack of player buffs is sad.
The lack of more hotkey slots for spells is sad.

The Q hotekey system sucks terrible was obviously designed for consoles where combat will be slower/more dumbed down on the PC is make potions annoying to use (I really dont use potions in this game at all they are just annoying with the Q system). . .

I agree with you, except about the Q hotkey thing. But maybe that's because I play with a game controller...

Well you should at least use one type of potion, but I could understand not switching to different potions on the fly.

Weapon swapping is still pretty wonky. Some skills, I can dependably swap to my offbar, cast, and swap back to my main bar in one single fluid motion - no waiting or stopping. Other skills, however, seem to impede bar swapping completely. I have noticed this to be the case for skills like ambush, shield charge, and spear charge.

I keep NB ambush on my single target bar. When I use it to jump into a group of enemies, it takes forever to switch to my AoE bar. It seems the skill bar is completely unswappable until the animation completes.
