Thanks. That helps. 5 is crazy few and I wasnt going to buy it for that but having a swap (I guess like guild wars?) sounds better. I'd prefer to have all but 10 seems ok.
Personally I found the limited number of active slots is one of the more endearing features of the game, makes you think and occasionally (or often, depending) adjust your selection to the job you intend to face... instead of having two dozend skills available all the time like in some other games...
But I suppose it maybe a matter of personal preference. Some will prefer their game consisting of merely juggling lots of skills in the right sequence, others prefer to have fewer skills and a combat system where they have to pay more attention on moving, blocking, bashing, dodging...
I think -- this is personal opinion, surmise, guesswork, and intuition -- the devs expected the skills to be incidental to game play. That is, the devs thought we would be light-attacking, heavy-attacking, dodging, and blocking and only every now and then throwing in a skill... all part of this real time combat system they envisioned.
So we didn't need more than ten skills in their opinion...
Which means the devs must NEVER have played an MMO because none of us play that way... This isn't Defiance; this isn't a shooter; and this isn't Mortal Kombat XVIII or whatever the hell they're up to...
This is an MMO being played by a bunch of people who have played MMOs before.
