Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Ok since this is costing console players monthly, a suggestion to please consider Z

Adjust prices of crown store to compensate, or maybe give like 100 crowns through a weekly quest as a way to get back some of what console players are putting into it, without really losing much on your end.

Console players aren't paying ZOS anything if they choose not to (after the initial purchase) Why would they compensate you? You have to pay the appropriate console for the use of internet services.. Like most other online games.

OP is most likely concerned because to play the game they have to pay at least $8/mo for the base as the game is strictly online. If they want premium they pay another $15/mo ($23/mo total). They receive 1500 crowns (equivalent of a $15 buy). PC players pay $8 less for the same service/mo. Effectively consol players are losing $8/mo in crown value (even though that $8 isn't going to ZoS).
The request isn't really that harsh. Instead of asking for an additional 800 crowns, OP requests slight price reduction, which would then allow console players the ability to purchase the same amount of content as PC players. If this were to happen, however, OP must understand the reduction would be small (probably no more than 50 crowns difference) on each individual item.
A better idea will be console exclusive LTO sales on expensive items, such as 500 crowns off that leopard for one week only, but a similar sale every month.

This is silly in my opinion as you're only paying the same cost as PC.
To try and include any other costs associated is not reasonable for ZOS to make any adjustments.

If you buy a console you also accept that online multiplayer requires a premium service for all games not any one particular.
Options are to stay on PC or play on console according to those rules and agreements.

Simple choice if you feel the price is too steep

Nope...first of all IF price is a concern pay it in a 12 month cycle
That's $5/month for all games so in essence it's .10 or less for TESO if you want to add that onto ESO plus

This is completely stupid IMHO, who own a console and doesn't pay for PSN+/Xbox Live ? Console gamers accept the fees for PSN+/Xbox Live and seriously even if eso didn't need PSN+ or Xbox LIve, i would still have a subscirption for PSN+/Xbox Live.

Can't afford a gaming PC ? Get a console. Can't accept prenium service for live gaming on console ? Then just stop gaming, go outside and get some fresh air, cost nothing.

Or you play different games on console like me and just flat out pay for the full year subscription of the console service so I can play multiple games online, have services like free games and discounts, reward programs, and rebate on online on online purchases. Trust me console players do not need special treatment especially when we deal with micro transactions like skins, fighters, and dlc. On top of other purchases. We will be fine.

More and more, I am reminded that I am part of the original Nintendo generation.

Nintendo (original), Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, PlayStation (original) PlayStation 2. These are the systems I grew up on, lol, no internet connection required to play and fully enjoy the game.

God I feel old sometimes, remembering when I was so excited to get a Nintendo entertainment system with Super Mario Brothers 3 included at Christmas.
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

    PS2 has internet support ;)

But seriously, if you are actually a console player, it is VERY likely you are already paying that fee to use their online services. ZOS shouldn't lose money because you are paying someone else money. If I pay more for internet per month then you, should ZOS compensate me? No.

Great, now you made me feel old.

Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. So exciting pulling those 5.25in floppy disks out of the box on Christmas.

Now it's some really old fart's turn to get on here and tell us about how excited he was to get new beads for his Abacus 200 for Christmas.

Excuse me, but to me it sounds as if the thread starter never had a PC with internet connection. Because.. well: we _all_ pay for our internet, and a lot more then just 5 or 8 bugs (at least in most countries i guess). Its not as if internet on PC is free or something (letting aside students on a campus, your parents credit card, or people who are lucky living in countries which actually provide internet for free - if there are any).

Should ZOS compensate us for the monthly fee we pay our providers? No, I dont think so, and the fee you pay for consoles is something similar. If you dont want to pay your 5-8 bug for online games on consoles, buy a PC and pay your 10-50 bugs a month for internet (depending on country and speed).

Maybe PC players should get Crowns equivalent to the cost of their monthly ISP charges?

That would make it so PC players were being treated the same as Console players.

You'd be surprised. I used to work in Game and came across an amazing number of people who didn't even know their consoles could connect to the internet (this was during the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, but even the handheld consoles could go online by then). I've never even owned a PS3 but I learned off by heart how to connect and update it so I could explain or write down the steps for customers who were having problems. (And was always highly amused at the looks I got when male co-workers would redirect customers to the girl who obviously couldn't be an expert on anything except My Pet Pony 3 for technical advice.)

Then again it was also a regular occurrence for customers who were staring in total confusion at the PS3 games to tell me they'd bought it as a blu-ray player and a year or so later started thinking since they had it maybe they should check out these "games" they'd heard so much about.

But even people who are aware of the options might choose not to use them. Me and my husband don't have the premium services for either the Xbox 360 or PS4 because we mainly play single-player games and just wouldn't use them enough to feel the cost is justified. It's not much, but why pay anything for something they're not using?

So ZOS should shoulder the costs of ps+ and Xbox live?

They already changed their ENTIRE business model in consideration of console players. That's enough.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

    Ehh.. i dont think so.

They changed their business model because subscription based MMO's have been falling out of fashion. In the past few years pretty much all MMO's have been changing to a B2P model with in-game purchases.

Lets face it.. ESO wasn't doing to great either, now with the new business model and some sane marketing (welcome back weekend) ESO is actually landing in the top 10 charts on steam again.

So no, they didn't change their business model for the console players, they changed it because they had to if they wanted to stay afloat financially :)

Ok, so you are basicly ascking that ESO doesnt require PSN+/XBL, why don't you go cry on Sony/Microsoft forum ? Pretty sure ZOS had to pay something to Sony/Microsoft so it doesn't require PSN+/XBL.
