Help! Cannot install game

michaeljones161b16_ESO
I've been playing ESO since beta, but I'm now trying to install it on a friend's PC with a boxed copy of the game I bought a while ago but didn't use.

I installed it from the disk. When the launcher tries to download patch files, it seems to loads a few MB but then I get an error message: Reliable source serving corrupt files.

So I thought I'd tried to launch and patch it online. When I download Install_ESO.exe it gets to 99% and stops with 1 second remaining - and stays there.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry that error massage should be: Reliable source serving corrupt data

Log into your account on the official website and download the launcher from there.

Don't use the boxed version at all

    Thanks for your reply, Betahkiin

I did - that's when I get the launcher download stopping at 99%.

However, I think I can get it to run anyway but I then get the message "Zenimax Self-Extractor has stopped working."

Thanks for your input guys but it's moot now.

I realised that I didn't have enough disc space in my C partition although I had plenty space on the drive. So I deleted my D drive partition and extended my C drive. Plenty space now!

But when I rebooted the PC, I got the message "DISKMGR is missing".

    Whoops!

My friend is not going to be happy.

Don't install it and your problem is solved. Install some other game; trust me, you'll be happier.

Thanks for your less than helpful advice Talrenos.

As you can see from my previous post, I can't install anything at all now!

But I have been playing ESO since beta so I think I have an idea whether I would be happy or not.
