Bought Soulgems from crown store, but dosen't work?

So could anyone help a noob like me out? I assumed it was only to buy them and then I could use it whenever I died, but it dosen't work like that apparantly. I have them in my inventory, but nothing happens.

Deheart✭✭✭Did you charge them?As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.0 -

To the OP, I think you need to select them in some option menu (I can't get in game right now) but there is an option somewhere where you can choose to use crown gems or normal ones as default.3 -
rosarose✭✭Ok, thanks, I will try to do that. And I only bought them because i was doing pvp with my lowbie nb, she keep dying and I had forgotten my gems in the bank.0

Grampa_Smurf✭✭✭If you are a low lvl player you can always ask in chat if players have any spare ones as they lvl past them. Plus you will get a few while questing and is always a good idea to put a skill point into the soul skill line under the world list. There is one that will let you charge an empty soul gem on weapon attacks and you can use a skill there to fill one as well.
