Hardened Ward scales with Magicka now?

So all my racials are useless and im pigeonholed into a magicka build as a sorc.

If this is true, *** THIS GAME I'm out.

Whether or not it has always scaled also, it doesn't say that anywhere in the tooltip, which is also COMPLETELY *** REDICULOUS.

Because I have been life stacking since day one because i'm an orc and stamina stacking on a sorc doesn't achieve anything.

Until now I did just fine life stacking but now its impossibrew to get a decent build because of the changes AND ALSO ITS NOT ON THE GDMF TOOLTIP.

Life stacking doesn't achieve much, especially since health was massively nerfed, you might be better off stacking health regeneration and stamina, that's what I'm doing with my Orc. Though I balance my health with my stamina, by having jewels be stamina, all attribute points in stamina, legs have a stamina enchant and all other armor has health enchant.

With heavy armor of course, if you're medium armor it's best to pump yourself full of stamina for roll dodging.

I'm doing ok life stacking but only if i spec into dual wielding. I've come up with some interesting results using leather/critical healing/healing on hit/fast attacks. I can stay alive for sure, but its hardly a 10k bubble.

But seriously, 10k mana and a castable 10k life vs 8k hard life what ***, thats blatantly balanced for magicka.

I'm playing a magicka based orc caster sorc, and I'm doing perfectly fine.
Yes, my stats are overal 5-8% weaker then a breton sorc's would be - but that was my choice when creating the char.
(even though, back in the old solft-cap system the final difference was more akin to 3-4% only)

Yeah, removal of soft caps opened up about a dozen cans of worms IMO.

This is absolutely fair, you know. 99% magicka users lack health and are very squishy. Therefore shield is the only thing that is holding us alive mostly. Those that are based on health, they have much more health than magicka sorcs and its fair that they have weaker shiled. It is equal no matter what you say.

Dont know about anyone else, but I rolled a sorceror to be a magicka build.

Might aswell been called Wizard, where does it say sorceror and wizards are warriors.

This is one of the biggest flaws of this game, its called elder scrolls online, but a class system conflicts with the IP.

You can totally be a stamina sorcerer, just need to be creative and not rely on ward etc like magisorcs do.

Honestly, Life Stacking did Never really make Sense (especially when we had Softcaps).
Especially as sorc its just a waste to do so, as orc id say even worse.
Sorry but i cant really take this serious since its your Second Rage thread in a day.
Maybe you Should accept the fact, that your Class idea doesnt work out and try Something new.

Stacking health only makes sense if your build has high mitigation and good self-healing. A caster sorc in light armor has little of either. Regardless of your character's race, you simply won't increase your time to live much by stacking health beyond the "I don't want to get one-shot" point, which is somewhere around 20k for most content.

You can run a caster orc sorc. He won't be optimal, but he'll work fine. Most of his racials won't help much, but people put too much stock in racials. Gear, build and skill are all more important.

Your orc will synergize well with a stamina build. Consider a 2H/ Bow orc sorc, which takes advantage of your bonus to charge attacks. 2H is also so good right now, you could probably pick 'goblin' as your race and do well

The gear you need for this is reasonably easy to acquire, too. Hunding's Rage is crafted, and thus easily available. There are a bunch of other options for the other slots.

If I had an orc sorc, I'd absolutely go stamina. Heck, I may do it on my Breton

Or just not rely on them as your primary damage source.

If you stack stamina, then in my mind that says you should be relying on weapons as your primary source of damage and use your magicka skills more for support than anything. CC, buffs, that sort of thing. Stacking stamina and expecting to be able to shoot lighting at everything as good as anyone that stacked magicka is like getting your driver's license and expecting to be able to pilot a fighter jet.

The problems I have are not about the inadequacies of health or stamina stacked sorcs (although in light of that idea, it is a HUGE imbalance in favor of magicka.

My problem primarily is that the tooltip is clearly not correct.

As for it being my choice of race at the start of the game, when i picked orc for ratials they were NOT what they are now, and I was under the dissilusiom because of said tooltip that there was only a minor difference between stacks.

So no, it wasn't my choice. That's a bullshet response.

As for the shield being stronger to counter squishyness, mana stack is BETTER because it offers more defence than life stacking AND a larger mana pool, which was my other main point.

I'm happy being an orc, and stamina and life based sorcs should have the opportunity to be on the same footing as their magicka counterparts.

Stamina Sorcs were actually awesome, though... for a few weeks. That was after they buffed 2H and DW and before they nerfed Critical Surge.

Stamina sorcs were also awesomewhen you could charge out of overload and then stack a second skill under charge so you effectively cast two skills back to back within a third of a second.

Quite frankly I'd rather not try something new, simply because there is far too much inconsistency in the balancing, and it seems like players are continually punished for their choices. Maybe not all players, but many have voiced theneed for race changes (as an example). If they are going to make sweeping changes that affect how facials stack, we should have an option to switch.
