I have this problem for days, and tried everything. Nothing worked yet.
I have a problem with my launcher. I just downloaded the game file and tried to install it, but it freeze at Loading screen before it starts download.
I checked my host.developer.log file and it says:
04/11/2015 17:16:41 Unable to load library (D:\Games\Elder scrolls online\Launcher\MinSpecDetectionInterop.dll) (193)
04/11/2015 17:16:41 D:\Games\Elder scrolls online\Launcher\MinSpecDetectionInterop.dll failed to load for interop.
So I guess this is a problem with that .dll, but I can't fix it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to solve the problem, at least temporary. I downloaded the game on a different computer and copied the whole folder to mine. The launcher still not working so I can run the game with the ESO.exe, but I guess when a new update will come out, my problems will return.
I hope this will help someone.

What is the cause of the issue?
Are you a first time installer?
Did you do a re-install that caused this issue (and if so, why did you do the re-install?)
    Did you have issues updating?

In general, this can be caused by not running the launcher in admin-mode and even cause you need to set the compatibility to windows xp sp3. Depending on the cause of the issue it could be an issue with .net framework or visual c++ (make sure you got the latest version of both).

If that doesn't help, try starting from scratch, uninstalling everything and running a fresh downloaded installer.
If that doesn't help either, you could look at possible memory issues, but to be honest. I would open a support ticket by then.

Actually I don't have the game yet, I was a beta tester and now I wanted to try the game again at the free beta weekend, before I buy the game. I deleted the game since the last beta test, so I tried to install again, btw I remember I had a similar problem like this back then (somehow I could solve it).

This problem is quite strange.. I could install the launcher, but that's all, because when I start the launcher it can't get through the loading screen (before updating application list).

I already tried everything what you recommended and thank you for trying to help.
I even contacted support, they said it might be a directx problem (I updated that too, didn't solve my problem), so I just gave up after I read through the forum.

I just hope, when I buy the game via steam it won't have this problem.

I just hope, when I buy the game via steam it won't have this problem.

As far as I know, the client is exactly the same, so if the problem is consistently (as seems the case), it is likely to persist. I didn't included DirectX in my reaction cause I don't think it is the issue. Directx has limited to do with the loader and more with the actual client (and that one is working fine)..So although I have the highest respect for support, I do think they did make a minor misjudgement here. Anyways.. it is ruled out now cause you did as they ask.

I would suggest continuing talking with support. Keep in mind that this error is far before the actual moment that is checked wether or not you got an account. As support wants to contribute as well to getting you to buy the game, I'm pretty certain they are happy to help you further.
