Horse purchases

I am not sure where to post this but I have a situation regarding the horses in the mount window.

From what I remember, the horses had different stats, some had the 25% to speed when you bought them, others had extra inventory and so on.

Now when I looked at the bay dun horse in my mount window, not the crown store. I clicked it and it would not show any stats whatsoever just a small blurb about it being the fast horse, but no stats or details.

I clicked it again hoping to get those details and it ended up purchasing.

So I did not want to purchase this, so I create a ticket and wait.

Now its not so much the gold involved than the principle of the matter. The imperial horse, the bay dun horse, they are both set at zero, unless I am wrong, why is it a problem for zenimax to refund the gold for a purchase I will never use and was not even meant to be bought in the first place as it was misleading.

I am curious as well if those other horses are set to zero as well and it is just a skin we are using our gold for.

Lastly, I requested further on why they could not honor a refund and in stead, I receive a second generic response. So far far no reply when I asked why, am I in the wrong here?

Read the patch notes from a few major updates back (1.5 maybe?). They changed mounts to where it's all based on a players "riding skill" now. Horses/mounts are now just cosmetic.

They did make adjustments to what you had to start based on what you had improved/bought already.

Your horse stats have been replaced by your riding skill, all your horses have the same skill and that skill is your riding skill.
There is nothing here of interest to any nations; as a matter of fact, there is nothing here but people.

Horses no longer have stats benefits. When you buy a 47k horse, it's that same (stat-wise) as the 10k horse or any crown store mount. These are just for looks. As well, when you purchase a mount (from anywhere) that mount will now be available to ALL characters via the collections window. You now upgrade "riding skill". Riding skill is per character... so even if you own just 1 horse, it will have different stats depending on the character that is using it. All stat maximums are now set to 60, and you are no longer stopped at putting 50 points it, with time, you are now able to max out ALL stats.

PS - If you had fed any horses prior to 1.6, these were added together and converted to riding skill.
    Example:
Character 1 has a horse with 20 pack space, and 10 stamina. They ALSO had a horse with 10 pack space and 5 speed, and 9 stamina. That character would now have the riding skill of 20 pack space, 5 speed, and 10 stamina... applied to ANY mount it rides. (They just take the highest stat, they are not added together)

    Character 2 had no horses.
Character 2 can now use the horses Character 1 had bought.. except their stats will be 0 (or whatever the new base is)

I forgot to mention this, but on each generic reply I was given, I was invited to provide feedback on this, so I did provide the feedback. I just do not like being mislead, especially when it something so trivial.

If the horses are all set to zero and its just a skin we pay for, then they should show those stats. Now I gotta spend 5 mins replacing my lost gold, oh woe me...

Mounts (regardless of breed, coloring etc.) were changed in 1.6 to no longer have ANY stats - "stats" are now riding skill and relative to each individual toon you play. Mounts are now account wide and available on any toon you play with a single purchase. This means there is no advantage to a different mount other than stylistic preference.

So yes, they are all set to "zero" - aka stats are non-existent on a mount. And yes is it just a skin you are using your gold for. It's been that way for a few months now.

I don't know off the top of my head what zenimax's policy would be on a purchase you "didn't intend to make" - so I can't comment on the customer support ticket, that is a question for, well...customer support.

Ahh I see so its the skins I guess that makes sense, would of been nice for that generic response to include these responses lol.

    Thanks community people...
