Delete Characters message

I just logged in after many many months and under my characters it says you may delete 3 characters? I have all 8 character slots used and 5 of them are basically just used for inventory space..

was there a patch that reduced character slots to 5 from 8?

if I click on the delete(3) option whats gonna happen?lol Don't tell me to try..lol

it just gets rid of those characters so you can make one to take their place

You still have 8 character slots. To prevent bots they have reduced the number you can delete to 3 every 24hrs. So if you delete all three you simply have to wait 24hrs before you can delete again.

They haven't changed the number of characters. They've changed how often you can delete characters.

You can delete 3 in a 24 hour period, after that you have to wait 24 hours before you can delete any more. This is done to stop botters and gold sellers from making characters, running a few easy low level quests, banking the gold, deleting and repeating it all over again.

you can only delete 1 character per day and up to 3 characters at a time. This was added to battle botting

if I click the " delete 3" option and there all level 2 for example.. other then my main.. Which will get deleted? is it random?

The "3" part of that just tells you how many deletes you have available, so you're not deleting 3 at once or anything - just one at a time. The character that gets deleted is the one that is visible on the screen at the time you click delete. It will then come up with a dialogue box for you to confirm that you want to delete that character, and you will have to type DELETE into the box and click on accept. It's nearly impossible to accidentally delete the wrong character.

It goes by the one that is currently selected, the character on screen currently. Unless you do want to get rid of a character, you don't need to delete any. You can still have 8 characters.
