I blame Agrippa. For weeks he was on here talking about AD rerolling to EP or DC. Then he left.
In truth I actually agreed with Agrippa at the time and switched from playing mostly my AD toon in PvP and played my EP toon. So...you're right, I am partially to blame.
Well OK I was kidding but I'm happy to be right too :P

If the 'blame' is unserious, then I can actually provide my opinion (and purely my opinion) on what happened. It's lengthy, so it can be kinda tl;dr.

Story time!
I also switched over from AD to EP due to calls on the forums here.
Personally, I think we need to wait another month to see where the B2P crowd is level wise. I myself did not venture into Cyrodiil until I was VR6. Maybe the populations will balance once people get tired of questing.
I blame all the forum threads QQing about EP.
Yeah. They're overpopulated, yeah, it causes problems on campaigns, and yeah, it's annoying when EP players attribute their factions success to solely the skill of its players bc...c'mon now.
OTOH, I'm a little tired of beating this particular dead horse.
Also, calling it now, DC will be the next overpopulated faction!
I have looked into my crystal ball.... and the DC lowbie zones.

See, I was correct all along. It was Agrippa.
Actually I'm not so concerned over population imbalances as I am about server performance deteriorating even more with the added players. When I start getting skill delays and rubber banding in the middle of Bangkori it doesn't matter to me what faction has more players (or less). I just want to interact with that columbine plant and can't.

I already have V13 DC templar.

Meh.
I think I'll just return to lurking in this thread then, instead of actually adding to it.

Coward. Stand up and take the credit (or the hits) for what you did!

It's pretty obvious you're not interested in discussion, just blame flinging. I made the offer to profer my side, but you persist in an uncivil discussion. Therefore, I decline to participate.
Have a pleasant day.

He sought to address the population imbalance, which at the time was heavily in favor of AD, by encouraging AD players to reroll to EP or DC.
Very much like people are now trying to get EP players to go DC.
Now, if you can't play nice, you'll have to go sit with the PVErs.
