Ah, so that would be why it's "since 1.6 went live". Because now a ton of people with bounties are popping up in the middle of it and having to fight...There is an area near Riften where they spawn quite quickly. It is a good place to grind if you can't make it to the Vile Lab in Coldharbor. I think it just north of the stables, but the Thieves Sanctuary exit puts you right in the middle of it.

Yeah, but at those numbers if you can kill 3 or more sabre cats in the time it takes you to kill 1 giant (and it's likely you can if you have any AoE damage capability) then the sabre cats would be a more efficient way of grinding XP - especially if they spawn quickly and if there are a large number of them in the area.derpsticks wrote: »Yeah, vr10 sabre cats. I am not fussy, I practically kill everything in the Rift, but giants/mammoths/trolls give better xp, think its 1.2 k for sabre cats, compared to 3k for giants blah blah.
Ah well...:D

Of course, I prefer to just quest and kill whatever I happen upon as I'm questing, but if you're looking to grind XP you're probably better off going for the sabre cats.
I'd definitely agree that it's more fun (and somehow more satisfying) to kill giants and mammoths than it is to kill sabre cats...Yeah, but at those numbers if you can kill 3 or more sabre cats in the time it takes you to kill 1 giant (and it's likely you can if you have any AoE damage capability) then the sabre cats would be a more efficient way of grinding XP - especially if they spawn quickly and if there are a large number of them in the area.derpsticks wrote: »Yeah, vr10 sabre cats. Aye true and fairly put, there is a couple of areas in the Rift where there is a lot of giants/mammoths, e.g the WW shrine, and other areas further out, and other areas where the respawn rate seems fast.
And but but....I like the giants and mammoths:( well killing them lol

I am surprised with all the exp spots they have nerfed, why some spots still have instance respawns?

I like using them to test out new rotations to see if my DPS is better or not. They are good for that as they don't move around so much that I have to pay all that much attention to blocking and dodging and instead look at the numbers. No, I don't run the addon that gives me a combat log or the parts of FTC that do that, I just look at the numbers on the Health Frame of the mobs, so I need a slow lumbering mob for these things.
But for outright Grinding, the Cats are better. I can pull 6 to 9 of them and take them out quite easily.
