How well does this perform in PvP with the huge damage and 28m range?

Since it's a relatively slow channel you won't win any 1vs1 with it. The opponent can very easily purge it off, cloak or just shield/heal through it. Then there's always the chance you get bashed lol. It has it's uses but there are better ultimates like meteor and some class based ultis.

Soul Harvest might be better than Soul Assault for PvP for a NB?

Decent for keep defense / snipe builds. Limited use in groups or when being offensive. Ice Comet or batswarm is much better.

    Bosmer (Wood Elf)
Moonlight Crew (RIP), Misfitz (RIP), Victorem Guild

VR16 NB, Stam build, Max all crafts.

Azuras & Trueflame. Mostly PvP, No alts.

Semi-retired till the lag is fixed.

Love the Packers, Bourbon, and ESO...one of those will eventually kill me.

If you use this as a finisher I find it can be quite effective.

Prob with soul tether is that it is AoE and higher cost when most of the time I find myself 1v1 in group combat.

I use Soul Havest and Soul Assault. SH for burst soft targets. But against DKs for example, i CC them a few times to leech Stamina, waiting for Reflecting Scales and than trololol Soul Assault bam DK down :D

Works better than any other ult for me. Low cost, massive damage.
Lots of people seem to prefer meteor and its morphs, but while I had it on my bar, it was constantly reflected back at me and my group. It also doesn't deal much damage on initial impact. I found it to be virtually useless.

If using it on a target paying attention it is not great, but against someone already engaged in battle or trying to dodge roll to safety it can be very effective.

I melt people with it quite often, especially if you get a distracted target.

Have you ever dropped a meteor on a group trying to take a flag...followed immediately by a fire ballista shot? Can single handled stop a group from taking a keep.

I really don't want to see skills being offered in the crown store, even if they....

    Oh, wait...

Just kidding. On topic, it's a good tool in the box. Depending on situation, there are better and worse choices, as always.

I use it sometimes on my off bar to have something to get rid of a healer in a group-vs-group situation.

If someone blocks while it is channel it gets pretty weak, or if I get interrupted it seems.

Wish we could change the color from white to red!

I find when I block it still does uncomfortably high damage, unlike meteor which when blocked is laughable.

Soul Assault is alright, if you're running with a group and attacking another group, try to find their healer and Soul Assault him. It makes him waste all his Magicka spamming BoL to keep himself alive so he has less to heal his own group, and therefor, it makes them easier to kill.

Back in 1.5, if every single tick of Soul Assault crit you could do upwards of 5k damage. The only problem is how it's so easily removed, via purge, damage shields, etc.

Only useful against silly people and unsuspecting foes.

@ChefZero breaks free because he has much more stamina than most Magicka DKs. And bashes you in the face, followed by lulgetwrecked meteor, oh and he chugged a detect pot so it doesn't miss.

I've gotten the tooltip on my Soul Assault to say 54k dmg with my stacked magicka and passives. I've never really used it though. I might have to sneak up on someone and give them a little surprise >:)
