Apparently, there were some (zergs) who preferred camping DC gates rather than push EP. At that point we left Chill.
When it's a close match and you're in first, the most efficient way of gaining points in your favor against 2nd is to hit 2nd. Hitting EP puts AD up +10 points (per keep) vs blue. Hitting blue is +20 in their favor due to both taking points from blue and gaining them.
In short, if you want to catch someone (or keep them down), that's who you hit. Not the irrelevant team mired in third.

They had already taken everything DC had when they started to camp the gates. Seriously, with the numbers AD have they should take a keep or two from EP. That isn´t even too much asked. The zone chat was full of similar opinions you seem to support. Hope the zerg mentality wouldn´t spread more than it is necessary. Sadly, these groups have no other vision than move in one big blob. At least I can´t enjoy of it. The group I was in just fooled around. Attacked the red emp group in the dolmen etc. I see many other viable aspects of this game outside of the type warfare which was prevelant last night. ZENI should make the warfare more than zerging and pvp would just benefit from it.

So?
All they need to do is crater DC's points earnings. After that they benefit by not turning their attention from DC and farming DC at their gates until DC is mathematically eliminated from the competition.
That +10 points an hour from regaining Alessia doesn't matter if they lose 20 points in their favor from DC regaining Rayles while AD is pushing Alessia hard (because EP always defends it due to the Siren Call of the Potato).
The only thing Alessia benefits them is home keep bonus and that doesn't matter on the scoreboard, only on an individual level.

It makes sense that AD kept the pressure on DC and left EP alone to basically take the East side of the map. It didn't make sense that EP didn't scoop up everything AD had right behind them. I logged at 11pm EST so maybe they did later on, but the hours I was on AD and EP pushed us back to the temple gates, EP took one of our scrolls to Drakelow, and AD continued to bang it's head trying to get our remaining scroll. We let EP have it in order to concentrate on AD. That whole time the east was quiet and EP was content to RP in their keeps, I guess. They finally got in gear when I logged.
You crowned an Emp, great. Use it against the point leader.
