Hello pvp folks!
A new week just started and I want to waste your time discussing yet another proposal to improve AvA experience.
What I want to propose this time is: A new but simple system to offer to join low pop campaigns when you start to queue up for your home/guest campaign.
Well, what?
The details:
As soon as I decide to enter a campaign where my faction is locked I get the following options:
a) Queue up as it is today - staying where you are, farm flowers, join your other campaign, whatever
b) Queue up and join campaign X for the time being
c) Don't queue up and just join campaign X
Campaign X is the campaign that's having the lowest population for your faction at that point of time AND it does NOT have to be your home or guest campaign.
Why am I thinking this will change something?
Well, again I think this should be a simple feature to develop as it is only using mechanisms already available today.
But many people simply do not know that you may join another campaign while you are queued up for one already. Also many people do not know you can already join a non-home or guest campaign by getting a group invite and "travel to player".
You may want to say: But the players will only be on the low pop campaign temporarily!
Yes and no. Of course many players will leave the low pop campaign again once their queue spot opens up. But this way we will get them into the low pop campaign instead of just sitting in Belkrath watching the sky and some will notice how interesting other campaigns are, which may lead to at least some players switching their home/guest campaign to the low pop one.
This will at least get more players onto the low pop campaigns and maybe even spread out some players away from the always-full campaigns like Thornblade EU etc.
