Soft Caps Removed in 1.6? Can I effectively stack Fire Resist then?

In PvP the drain can be very effective, however you need to time it right and only use it when activating your ultimate bat swarm (the morph in which you go invisible)

Everyone else tells me the drain is useless to use in PvP, can it be effective?

Can someone break the 3 second stun from drain or only the feeding?

How I look at it. As a stam NB, I need my fast sneak speed. concealed weapon is not an option as it's not enough boost and it's a magic based attack.

    Option 1 - Be a vamp
    Results
Use hundlings rage (260 weapon dam increase)
Use fire resist on a piece of jewelry (64 weapon dam decrease)
For net 200'sih weapon dam increase
Die fast to counter siege; insta-death to cold harbor fire trebs!
    Batswarm is nice
    Got my sneak speed

    Option 2 - don't be a vamp
Use night's silence instead of hundlings (260 weapon dam decrease)
Don't need fire resist, replace with weapon dam increase (+64)
Net minus 200 weapon dam; about a 10% damage reduction
Ulti = Meteor - Which I now prefer over batswarm for a quick kill
    Got my sneak speed

So, if you want to be a single player PvP'er, go vamp, and stay away from seiging.

If you're in a group, you're a liability as a vamp, even with 31k+ health.

I dropped vamp last week for WW, and do miss the vamp speed w/ concealed weapon combo, but getting destroyed by siege, and spending lots of time dead, was not fun.

So i'm less effective 1v1. Big deal

VR16 NB, Stam build, Max all crafts.

Azuras & Trueflame. Mostly PvP, No alts.

Semi-retired till the lag is fixed.

Love the Packers, Bourbon, and ESO...one of those will eventually kill me.

Its like ZoS is trying to favor werewolves.

yea, its not like until recently they became viable outside of infinite timer radius at Hircines shrine. O wait thats just the case.

ZoS is just too busy losing money with consoles and making the sure the crown store is wasting their time to fix the things that need it.
Zhoyzu - Nightblade Alchemist (v15) RETIRED
    Has-No-Heart - Templar Enchanter (v4) FUBAR
Ambadassador - Dragon knight (v1) Naked with no future (returned from the naked realm to tank PvE)
Sakis Tolis - Sorceror (v10 in progress) Living Legend!

Xuhl'Xotuun - Warden Current Main as im starting the game over essentially with this character aside from crafting.

I have started running Magika Nightblade with 5 Heavy , 1 light, 1 medium for undaunted passive and it has been working quite well. Self heals help as they are magicka skills and the heavy armor helps with the spell resists + dunmer passive to make fire less of an issue. With concealed Weapon + Dark stalker I move faster in stealth than normal non sprint. My DPS went down about 5%-10% but my heals and survival went up much more. Incapacitating Strike is great for PvP and Soul Assault wrecks in PvE.

Sword board tank build than? I wanted to get away from the tank thing (I was a 1.5 sword/board sapper, yawn too easy, and not why I choose a NB).

I love that I'm DW, with the option of going to bow and being effective. Results in being a bit more squishy, but much better DPS compared to 1.5.

    Dear OP,

Don't bother trying to stack fire resist if you are using ring enchants. Last I checked a v10-v14 Legendary Fire Resist enchant was only giving about 4% fire damage mitigation.
    Rest in Peace:
    The Dragonknight
    2014-2025

This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.

Thanks, I will focus on Dunmer fire resist then along with the resist from heavy armor / champion points from spell resist

I am running 2H on both bars, magicka spells provide ranged (Crippling Grasp + Swallow Soul)
