Something new.

IN all the MMOs there are only two real aspects.

PvP and PvE

While both are fun and both keep the games going there is pretty much nothing else. We have Legerdemain in this wonderful game now but this is just another aspect of pvp that is pretty much expected in an Elder Scrolls game.

I have a proposal. Mini-games of a sort really.

There are taverns all over Tamriel. There are tables and barkeeps.

Can we have drinking games? Imagine an Inn full of drunken citizens playing a game like quarters with bets of gold on who wins. Card games like triple triad
(final fantasy 8) or perhaps a game of spades or poker. Maybe a game like beer pong.

We have a game that is rated "M" so why not add more spice to the game with gambling.

Another suggestion is a maze sort of game. This couldn't be in an inn but would be PvP. A fight to the finish, or just happens to be the first one to reach the center for some cool prize. Wouldn't this be a cool event were the battle would be a free for all.. Not faction dependent. Monsters, Players, Bandits, and Daedra all in the maze to kick butt.
This is were my signature would be if I was allowed one.

I think mini-games are a great idea. I think it'd bring the community together for fun things rather than just fighting. Most MMOs have mini-games in their games, so I'm not going to doubt that Zenimax is already working on something like that or has plans at least. I don't know about the beer pong or card game mini-games, but a drinking mini-game would be fun, especially if it effects gameplay or aesthetics.

I already play a ESO drinking game like that. When ever my ping goes above 1000 in PVP or vDSA, I have another drink!

The Elder Scrolls online : Alcohol Poisoning Unlimited.

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!

    I've heard of drink-when-you-die in DSA/Group Dungeons.

So, @Natjur , do you stop drinking when the ping goes back down? How do you handle situations where the server just goes into time-lock limbo, or are you standing around a lot of empty glass bottles?

Just need some rule clarifications, please.

OP, you going for something like Witcher? The blur visual was pretty cool and implemented very well, IMO.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

love the idea. something like the gambling in Assasins Creed. Or the TCG from Final Fantasy 8? I had SO MUCH FUN playing that card game in Final Fantasy 8. LIKE OMG FUN

I don't really expect many to remember that :) Acromage was a game within a game, a card game kinda like 'magic the gathering' that you could play inside the taverns in the RPG 'might and magic' 7 and 8. It's all 1990's stuff :)

I'm in a guild where we have regular drunken fishing events... I just did my first one on the weekend, and boy was it ever fun! Fishing in Cyrodiil in a group, chatting in teamspeak, giving each other drinks... We only got jumped and slaughtered by enemy players twice I think :) We never did make it down to the ocean, though.

Definitely need more stuff to do in game that doesn't involve killing. Any mini games or sandbox features that they can implement will increase replayability/longevity far more than a new quest zone ever could.

although I wouldn't mind a bit more quest content
