✭✭Yes!In ESO live 4/10/15 they did say that weapon and shield dyes are in the works and will be here soon. They said the problem is that they had to go through every single weapon and shield in the game including special weapons and shields you say only get from main quests or from trials like the healing staff the prophet gives you and give it that 3 color slots that armor has.
But they did say shields may be coming earlier than weapons but nothing about having guild crest on shields yet though.1 -

Personally, I'd like to be able to dye my shield, seeing as it's such an eye sore when it doesn't match my armor; weapons aren't the issue for me... Unless you include the color of the crystal on the primal staff; yellow or purple just doesn't suit me.

Yea they do have it int he works and shields will most likely come first cause they even said they basicly have to go through every single weapon to figure out there dye pattern and all that.0 -

Sorry but your intent was not clear in the compound question your formulated.
If you meant: Yes for dyeing shield, but no for weapons you should have said so, or added that choice to your question list.

✭Yes!Fear mongering over weapon dyes for no reason. Everybody was worried about pink armor when the dye system was finally released and it's pretty clear that pink armor is few and far in between. We can already be a thick nord dude in a wedding dress, is somebody's green dagger (which is actually lore appropriate) really going to make a difference?
We can currently already find grey, black, pale pink, pale green, light blue, and purple weapons.
If the playerbase' s tastes hold true to today the majority of weapons when dyed will either be grey, black, or red.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Yes!Shield dyes are a must, to match shield to armor. An option to add heraldic designs to your shield would be very appreciated - both guild designs, and making up your own.
Weapon dyes... well... the specter of neon pink swords always rears its ugly head when this comes up. Though franky, considering some of the veteran ranked high quality weapons and their looks... I'd be happy if the "business parts" (blade, axehead, etc.) were restricted to metal dyes and people could go crazy on their hilts to match their general color scheme.0 -

The already existing dye system has no limits, so anyone can run around with bright pink armor, why should weapons and shields be any different? Then we should start restricting the colors of armors too, which kinda ruins the whole point of customization.
I personally go for the more realistic looks, but if someone wants to go rainbow, let them.

✭✭Yes!To be clear about what's going on so far. Shield will be added soon to the dye station how ever there is nothing about adding crest to shields.
As for weapons they will most likely come later due to them even saying this so it's coming straight from them. They have to go through ever single form of weapon in the game and add a dye pattren to them including special weapons like the emperors blessing or trail weapons and armor. Sure some are simple like Nord style blades simple blade,handle, and leather apose to a staff. So may take a few while longer but they are a WIP.0 -
