Game is B2P expect advertising - I like cake!

For the game to be successful Zen needs revenue, with the sub option gone crown store makes money. Money keeps them working on the game and future expacs. If we had all paid for the sub and less players had not quit we would not be seeing this. I dont see why anyone is complaining.

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

BTW guild chat spam is more annoying.

No. I do not accept in game advertising.

See that would make more sense. Maybe that's what they mean is that if you eat your cake you no longer have your cake. Though the wording is weird. We all know the cake is a lie anyway.

I haven't seen it myself - playing on EU server - but this kind of advertisement should not be needed. GW2 is also B2P and I have never seen any such advertising there. I think this is some kind of experiment of an employee of ZoS. Advertising is not neccesarily bad, but when done terrible it can swiftly deliver a bad experience.

I agree that we should expect some kind of advertising because Zen needs to make money. To the extent that is acceptable though. I thought the screen splash was a bit much, though the chat box was fine.

There is not enough in the Crown Store to make a difference, right now.

If someone wants ZOS to get revenue and for ESO to be successful, they should purchase an ESO Plus membership instead of welcoming (or tolerating) in game ads or partaking in free play offered by B2P. They should encourage their friends to purchase PC/Mac, XBox, or PS copies of the game.

ESO still has sub option. GW2 is B2P, has no sub, you can buy their cash shop currency with ingame gold, and they have no advertising. So no will not acept ingame on screen in your face advertising.

Question was the advertising on the screen in the chat box or on the full screen to as well? That I do not agree with. I did not see any of the advertising, did see the screen shot though for the chatbox . Anyone have screen shot of full screen?

I still like cake.
