we should have more events

I think seasonal events from time to time would add some variety to the game and make it more interesting.
Even if it's just something like randomly spawning Easter Bunnies that have a chance to drop some rare materials for a few days :)

We don't really need HOLIDAY events (like annual celebration of Gods or something), just EVENTS. Events keep the game alive, active and you know what's the best? They are a great distraction for the players.

Bread and games, the Romans said. Bread and games.

Imagine an annual event that would go from mid december to mid january when Molag Ball would launch a massive invasion on Tamriel.

Imagine an annual event where people would celebrate fighting and an arena would open up for some harmless PvP.

Or, you know, just an event with mini games like racing, playing cards, drinking games.

Or: You'd drink too much than you can handle and *BOOM* you'd wake up in a Daedric realm where you'll be forced to listen to Sanguines bidding and DRINK EVEN MORE! AND MARRY WITH AN UGLY ORCISH WOMAN! Then, he'd give you an actual quest, an adventure, filled with cheer, humour and SLAUGHTER!

We have a lot of events and torments. Watch any eso live show. Why you need someone to say you what to do if you can do it in your way? [/quote]

We don't want events on a show. We want to be able to actually experience them ourselves!

In fact, there could be all sorts of Daedric events: Every few months, different parts of a certain daedric realm would open up and afterwards close for the time being. When realm #1 would close, and a few weeks after realm #2 would open. And then realm #3.

Imagine hunting the most exotic and strongest of beasts in Hircine's Realm. Group of people would be forced to work together in order to defeat the mightiest the Proving Grounds have to offer. Maybe people could even hunt each other!

Or getting sucked in old Sheo's world of madness (where the world would actually mad, not dull and boring like in the Mages guild quest line - sorry, but it's true).

Every daedric prince could have his own event. It would suit them a lot. Some would attack Tamriel, some would give the mortals an opportunity to join them for their disgusting little games.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Tamriel can host a lot of festivities, as seen in the UESP calendar and the Arena calendar. This thread asked for tamrielic festivities too: forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/141155/tamriel-holiday-festival-patch-hope-its-added-sooner-rather-than-later.

So, in short, if we hadn't had them in a whole year it's because that is not a priority for ZOS.
I'd like this was on their long list of "to do" things, so perhaps this year we could have a surprise or two concerning this.
I hope so! Festivals bring so much cheering in an MMO. And has been demonstrated that lore festivities do exist. No need to do anything off-lore, we have enough lore-friendly background to do celebrations and/or special events, always lore-based.

*checks* We just missed Peryite's Summoning Day and the Day of the Dead is coming up on the 13th. Pity it's a Monday; having a swarm of vampires converge on Daggerfall and wreck havoc is something the player base could do, with no help from ZOS at all. (Not that I'd say no to a swarm of NPC zombies attacking...)

WE GOT OUR FIRST HOLIDAY EVENT TODAY, NATIONAL PET DAY!!!!

It's good to know that ZoS really cares about the player base, and is committed to providing a high quality experience with the features that players have been asking for.

I'm really REALLY hoping that we will start to see these sorts of things after console releases?

+1 to this idea- as long as it's Lore-based events. I think it would go a loooooong way in fostering a sense of in-game camaraderie moving forward.

It can only help to strengthen the ESO community, IMO.
TL;DR - If you got this far without reading the entire post you're either too lazy or suck at reading comprehension and probably don't belong in a public forum anyway. Just move along, you wouldn't understand.
