Hey guys,
yes, another request-thread made by Legedric...
This time I am asking for some UI adjustment so we will be able to see if our current leaderboard position in AvA will grant us no reward at all, the top 10% or even top 2% reward at the end of the campaign.
I already tried to create a UI addon to achieve this but sad enough, ZOS isn't providing an API function to get the total number of currently listed players in a leaderboard. So in fact you only see your own rank and the top 100 at max using your journal ingame.
In the past this led to some confusion for some players as you assume you may be granted a reward at the end of the campaign because of your own leaderboard position. But surprise surprise... you did not receive anything, which leads to confusion and sometimes even to rage as you simply do not know by what difference you missed the top 10% for example.
Proposal:
In my opinion this should be pretty simple, just display a small icon next to your own leaderboard rank. This icon would change for one of the three reward types "None", "Purple loot", "Golden loot" and the tooltip would just display the following "Your current position is inside the top X% of the leaderboard".
This would at least make some of us happier so we know: Ok, I am 1% short so I will have to work harder on this.
This is already in place for PvE in a similar way, at least in PvE you can see if you are in for a weekly reward or you dropped out and may have to raise your score in another run again. I'd like to see the same for AvA as well.
