or bring a map with 16 keeps wich will be guildowned and the guilds fight eachother
and why spread the people in cyrodiil ? kill a boss in a dungeon for 20% AP buff or dolmens for siege weapon thats pve
bring other pvp options would be much more fun and the servers would be also relieved

    You do know the IC will mostly be a PvE area much like Darkness Falls in DAOC was?
    Yes the IC is THE anticipated content for PvP players as it may add some content to Cyrodiil but to be honest, I doubt it will add much PvP content to Cyrodiil. The IC will most likely be another instanced area inside Cyrodiil (like the delves) and they wouldn't want it to be the GoTo place for PvP as this would be the exact opposite direction of what they are trying to achieve at the moment (spread out players).

    I know it is sad but I doubt the IC will hit the servers this year and I think it was an ambitioned project they wanted to bring to us players but half way there they noticed it won't be possible for technical reasons.
    At least that's what I assume from what I have seen during the past couple of months as IC is only a "yes we are at it but priority shifted"-note in every Q&A about PvP and they don't come up with any real information about it at all.

    Needs duels for sure. Press "F" on another player, select "Invite to duel". Harmless fun.

    - upgradeable keeps
    - better performance
    - duels (!)
    - 1v1 / 2v2 / 3v3 etc. Arena
    - something like ctf or just death match, shouldn't be that hard to make.

    I agree to the first 3 points, I don't care about duels but please don't add arenas or battlegrounds and make it another instanced PvP game.... ESO AvA is about fighting war battles and not cage fighting.

    Again I disagree, we lose extremely valuable development time that may bring us actual AvA features instead of wasting it to instanced cage fighting PvP.

    As long as Cyrodiil is just a big construction site and still lacking any PvP update since launch there is no need to waste time on battlegrounds or arenas. Of course this is just my opinion as a player being sick of instanced PvP and enjoying the more open world like AvA in ESO.

    Because that's the reason why I play ESO, the AvA which I haven't seen like this since classic DAOC times. Every other mmo out there is providing battlegrounds and arenas but not a PvP like Cyrodiil and I am pretty sure many AvA players will agree.

    Performance wise Cyrodiil has been fkd for a long time now and I wonder if they will ever fix it. ZOS has shown us the Imperial City and 3v3v3 objectives or whatever it was back at quakecon, gee I wonder what happened to that stuff. Maybe they'll think about releasing it someday after console release and after Orsinium and Black Marsh, lol.

    Don't think I'll be playing for much longer though if ZOS refuses to do anything about thr joke that is Cyrodiil atm.

    Bruh, they gotta get console version launched as well as fix whats already in PvP before they add more to it. If its taken this long already trying to fix things, imagine if they added Imperial City now with all the lag/exploits/etc. Adding more to the problem list isn't what ESO PvP needs now. ZOS has their hands full already.

    lets just give the devs a break. Spell penetration is complicated and 1 year has gotten us this far. Maybe we should stop asking for fixes entirely and start begging for rollbacks to playable versions of the client. I've done two reinstalls this week since the most recent patch.

    Adding any of the following will attract thousands of players for PvP

    - Capture The Flag
    - Team Deathmatch
    - Any Scenario Oriented Small Scale PvP ( 10-15 vs 10-15 )
    - Small Version of Cyrodiil

    I get 80 fps on regular game, dungeons etc, Cyrodiil its 60, when hitting any other fiction not matter their size drops to 45.

    Now any siege battle inside the castle its around 30, AND if 3rd faction shows up its around 20s.. Thats a Huge Drop, I do not need to suffer performance just for PvP, there should be a better way to handle this.

    Any battle ground with 35-50 ppl in total SHOULD fix it without touching the performance updates.

    Just food for thought.

    These are all good ideas. I'm not an arena guy, myself. But I know lots of people like them. I like the small scale tactical stuff.

    But any and all of these would serve to lesson the population in AVA, while those of us who love AVA would stay in Cyrodiil.

    Its a much better idea than trying to put all of this stuff -inside- the existing Cyrodiil

    I know I am repeating myself and I also know that you are gonna hate me for this but: If you want to play arena, battelground and the other usual CTF sauce nearly every MMO out there has to offer: Go there, play what you want but please do not try to make ESO a PvP game just like every other MMO is today.

    ESO's strength in PvP is its rather unique Alliance War. The possibility to participate in huge battles over various points of interest within a really huge landscape. No other MMO is able to offer this at the moment, no, not even GW2 as Cyrodiil is way bigger than any of the seperated maps in GW2.

    THAT's what makes many of us wanna PvP in ESO and all the whining and complaining aside, ESO is the first MMO to achieve something that's worth being described as "big ass battles" since Dark Age of Camelot.

    So they better improve this unique gameplay feature called Alliance War before they try to move us over to the usual, limited, streamlined and mainstream MMO-PvP most of us aren't even here for.

    Of course there are many guys out there still liking these cage fights called arena and such but I highly doubt this will add anything for most PvP players in ESO as I assume most of us want to get more dev attention moved towards Cyrodiil and not to another construction site called "instanced battleground x VS x" ***.

    I actually think your points are valid, but I would offer that building PVP scenarios that you que for is still a better option than trying to put these mini PVP/PVE events in Cyrodiil proper for the very reasons you cited.

    We want to AVA, not duel or CTF at the mini-level like in scenario based PVP play found in other games.

    I can understand your concern with diverted assets going to build these things, but I think it would turn out ok in the end. Those of us who want to AVA would still do so, while those who wanted to cage fight/mini-battle would get their cake too.

    Its worked in other titles before (sometimes more, sometimes less). I just think they're going to have a hard time fixing Cyrodiil without managing the population.

    But I would add to that another idea that someone mentioned, and that is to strip Cyrodiil of anything that was fluff. Have all architecture focused on the AVA fight, and not try to also simulate Open PVP server based PVE

    Fixing the lag is more important. I will consider that new content because we will finally be able to play the game as intended.

    Very Valid points but I am gonna simplify my idea for you , with assumptions.

    IF they put 20 vs 20 or any sort ( not 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3, this is the tricky part ) and more people would queue this than Cyrodiil massive pvp , are you gonna blame it on the players or the producers ?

    Because I bet you that people will AT LEAST want to start 20 vs 20, which will bring 3 vs 5 or similar frequent fights when you can discover what can your build and character do rather than run 20 mins to get to the war zone and attack walls and some players with 100 people behind you, which is a big cluster ( ofc it has fun sides ) .

    I am not haying Cyrodiil, I am just saying Additional PvP content SHALL Be added, this is a premium mmorpg and they ought to add these kind of stuff. Its been only a year but sooner or later, we will see these changes.

    PS: I think GW2 world pvp is no worse or better than Cyrodiil, just no mounts so smaller maps, but they do offer 4814358 kinds of other pvp options.

    And adding more stability when 3 factions fighting each other, FPS cries. I dont know if they can achieve that but %80 drop in frame rate is no good.
