We are gathering more information to narrow down what may be the cause of the lag reported in this thread. If you are experiencing it, can you please respond with the answers to each of the following questions as specifically as possible?
- What is the character name you are on when experiencing this? (if it's more than one, please use the one specifically related to the rest of the questions)
- What realm you are playing on when this occurs? (EU or NA)
- Where are you when this happens? (zone name and general location within that zone. If you are in a delve or public dungeon you are not in Greenshade for example, you are in another zone - please list as specifically as possible where you are!)
- When is the EXACT time it occured? ‘Around 5 maybe?'is not accurate enough to research, but ‘Saw it at 5:34PM EST’ is. Also, please be sure to check your clock to make sure it is set accurately. If your 5:34 PM EST is really 5:50PM EST then we may be investigating the wrong time.
- What were you doing, and what did you see? Please provide a description. If you are in the middle of a lag spike, do a /say and report how that went as /say is the easiest way to ping the server and get an expected response. It can also be searched by our developers, so is even more helpful.
Thank you for helping us research this further! For future reports of lag or latency in other areas, this information is also vital to narrowing down the cause and effect, so please feel free to refer to these questions when reporting lag and latency for those threads as well.

They have given up on Cyrodil, they think if they keep quiet it will go away!!!

I don't think so.
It has the same symptoms.

You lost.
Seriously, Murkmire (?Lurcher?) and Bogdan in Vet EH, Imiril and Rillis in BC are others that are good for this.
"Guess where the red will be..."
Takes skill completely out of the equation, as there is nothing you can do but die.

EP players have lag in Darkshade= Deshaan/Murnhold
DC players have lag in Wayrest= Stormhold
etc...

- Must have been around 21.30 pm CEST. Cant give a more exact time, but i wrote this post directly afterwards.
- Realm is EU
- Char was Fynia N.
- Not only my group had this Problems, also other Groups from my Guild, doing dailies at the time.
- It`s not a "single" Lag Problem anymore, it a general Problem with the whole server, since update 1.6.
- My Guild is experiencing those massive Lags during dailies for days, even weeks now.
Those lags are appearing in pve areas, mostly during fights with dungeon bosses. Last week we had a Hel rah hardmode run. During endboss fight, just before he prepares to cast his aoe (~35%), screen froze for whole raid! We waited maybe 5-10 sec, then fight continued. But meenwhile, boss seemed to jump to next aoe phase, in which healing must be applied. But since all of us just got up from the first hit, we instantly died....
Just one example of many!
Cyrodil fights ends the same way. Sometimes, after fighting maybe for 5-10 min (20 player raid), to get a keep or defend one and lag festival all time, all get a game crash at the same time. After reloging, there are a lot of people spawning at south gate (DC) (not only our guys!). That`s realy no fun anymore! Its just unplayable and i realy have to criticize ZOS for the way, they handle this situation, since its going on for weeks now!
What fixes did we get with those last patches? more XP for trials? oO
Some siege weopons at cyrodil dolmen? oO
Crown Store consumables can now be used while silenced.
Hyperlinks are now clickable for in-game legal documents
etc...
I dont know, but seeing server performance that low for several weeks, and reading those patch notes, makes me feel a bit weird...
As i said before, if workload on servers explodes, because of opening AOE caps (especialy in pvp areas), then get them back! Better caps on it, then a server, that doesnt work!
Doesn`t matter if its is fixed today or tomorrow or in some weeks, but an announcement from time to time of the progress in that area, would help community to see, that something is happening! Or even some minor performance patches from time to time.

Hey there, guys. I have some pieces to the puzzle...
Character: Bee'lest
Time: This past weekend
Location: Stonefalls or Bleakrock
What I was doing, and what did I see: Sometimes in Bleakrock, where I go and fight Covenant and also steal stuff to no end, a stealable container will take almost 2-3 seconds to open, and looting takes 2-3 seconds more. When I fight the Covenant (bow equipped, in stealth) when the enemy doesn't die from the sneak attack, the mob will stand there and not move for 5 seconds, allowing me ample time to finish the enemy off. Also, taking out and putting away weapons can sometimes have a lag time of 5 seconds.
Extra Info: Another game called RIFT is also experiencing increased lag, so I'm almost wondering if Microsoft is trying to get their blasted security updates out (and failing miserably). Firefox also has had lag as well, further increasing the amount of evidence as Microsoft as the cause of the lag for both games. Looks like Microsoft needs to figure out another way to get their updates out without slowing the Internet down.
