Lifting the Veil quest bug. Can't proceed. Any suggestions?

I was working on the Lifting the Veil quest in Skywatch (AD). Raz gave me an earring that automatically disguises you. NOTE: this is not the standard type of disguise that you equip in your inventory slot. This is a quest item that automatically changes your appearance when you are in Skywatch and goes away if you leave the city. I logged back in today to continue the quest but the disguise no longer functions. I still have the quest item but it does not work any more. I tried talking to Raz again but he has nothing to say. The NPC that I need to speak to for the next step (turning in the sword) wont talk to me because I do not have the disguise.

Any suggestions or workarounds on how I can progress this?

    I haven't heard of this one. Did you try /reloadui and/or relogging? If neither of those work, then make sure you /bug this in game. Another thing you could try is abandoning and restarting the quest.

    That disguise was only needed for the very early portion of that mission - is it still in your quest inventory?

    same here, earring still in inventory , i have the sword (after paying gold for it pffft) and now the git wont talk to me. i reloadui and didnt work. I did not abandon the quest either, it just wont work

    yay paying for a weapon I won't ever use...why can't we just pick-pocket it, or lure them into a dark alley and beat them unconscious. It's not like they'd be able to figure out who did it once we took off the disguise.

    Did you try to abandon the quest, destroy the item in your inventory and try starting it again?

    You may have to leave Skywatch or do another quest to allow for a reset/respawn of Raz...
    mDKs still need a lot of love!

    Sorry to bump this again after so long, but I have another issue:
    When you get to the part where you drink with Palomir, I accidentally moved. Now I have a quest marker saying Drink . . . but no way to actually proceed, as I can't interact with Palomir again because he des pawned. Any ideas?

    Abandoning the quest and logging off for fifteen minutes is the best way to fix interaction issues, as it resets all things that are part of that quest (in theory).

    I know several people that are stuck and cannot travel to the island. They sent in help reports a week ago. no word. Still bugged.
