✭Either Mage, Apprentice or Shadow.
Spell pen (apprentice/sharpened) seems buggy atm and applying more % than intended.
Mage is always a good way to go if you're having magicka management issues. Without caps this can potentially boost your max mag significantly.
Shadow was the pre 1.6 way of thinking but still offers competitive increases to dps.Guild: STACK n BURN (gm) PC - NA

✭✭Mage is by far the best option.
Apprentice doesnt provide much more with sharpened + light armor + spell erosion. This will almost cap you out oN spell pen.
Shadow is bugged. On my last tests, shadow was decreasing my crit chance by 10%. Maybe they ninja fixed it last 2 patches.
But regardless, mage is overall the best choice. Since your damage directly is affected by your max magicka.Edited by xMovingTarget on April 6, 2015 5:07PM1 -

With 90 champs points and buff your looking at above 50% crit . wich is pretty damn nice for froce pulse spam

Celless✭✭✭I lean on Mage for playing resto staff and sometimes over to magicka DD. Extra magicka helping out both roles just a little.
I haven't documented my experiences with Spell Erosion champion points, but for mundii, Apprentice seemed to yield the largest magicka damage boost for me of the mundii. Could give you more room to play with elemental mastery.0
