• EU megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
What is the difference between the two? The Mighty star in the Ritual constellation (champion system) increases physical damage, but I'm not sure what that is. Is there a difference between Physical Damage and Weapon Damage?
^ This is a really great question and one I've asked myself many times lol. It seems that with the champion pt system we've gotten more vauge than ever with what we are Actually buffing with our points.

I'm speculating on how things are supposed to work, but weapon damage should impact skills like the class stamina morphs. Those abilities may deal magic damage, fire damage, or bow abilities that deal poison damage.
All of those abilities scale from weapon damage and might not receive the benefit of the Mighty constellation. Where most martial weapon abilities deal physical damage and should benefit from Mighty.
Weapon Damage is a character stat that scales up all skills that use stamina. Physical Damage is a type of damage that can be inflicted on an enemy. If a skill does physical damage (as opposed to poison, fire, magic, etc.), it will be listed in the tooltip. So the bow skill Focused Aim, which inflicts physical damage, will be increased by Mighty. The other morph, Lethal Arrow, deals poison damage. It will not be affected by Mighty.
Note that there are no stars that increase the underlying character sheet stat called Weapon Damage (or it's magicka equivalent, Spell Damage). The stars all let you specialize in particular types of damage, like magic damage or fire damage or poison damage or physical damage or whatever.
