Does Spell Crit work on WARDS? (ie: Resto Staff "Steadfast Ward" and/or Support Ultimate "Barrier")

Spell Crit should work on anything that uses Magicka since the patch where they aligned weapon damage and crit to stamina abilities and spell crit/damage to Magicka.

Even a WARD? Everything I've seen -literature wise- says "damage/healing"... a ward is neither...
Can you crit on a ward to double it's soak amount? Anybody know?

If you are talking about a shield then I don't believe crit has anything to do with it. Heals that are DOTS don't use crit either so I'd say its safe to say a ward doesn't if it's a damage or spell shield.

Nope. No spell crit on any heal over time or damage over time spells.

Wards cannot crit.

Healing over time can crit each tick.

Damage over time can crit each tick.

The heal effect when Ward pops can crit, not the shield itself though.

DoTs/HoTs has a chance to crit on each individual tick.

I was reading an old post from about 1 yr ago when I stated that the hot and dot don't crit. Apparently they do each tick? *shrugs* whoops!
