So it's easter monday and I just wanted to play around with my finace in Tamriel then I read this: some trader guild want their members to install an add on. Fine with me. But then some guy said that if you didn't sell enough in their guild they will kick you out for more 'profitable' sellers and they will track your sells with it. That is *** creepy. I am a casual gamer due to work. I cannot be online for 24/7 and grind stuff just to fullfil their needs of such a member. But when I need to sell stuff I cannot because they dont want you. Nice of them isnt it? End of story I left the guild and its guild master started to harass me with a pm and calling me a slacker and stuff ... now he's on my ignore list. Is this the common way now?

✭✭✭✭✭I have nothing against guild rules. Nobody is forced to join a guild, so if you don't like the rules, leave (just as you did).
The harassment is lame, though. You should have reported it in game and then added him to ignore.7 -

And that makes me sick cos people like this who bully and kick people out just because they don't behave the way they want ruin this game. I play from pre release and so does my fiance ... we are quiet and casual and this is what you get by being so. I'm just ashamed and disappointed.0

Deheart✭✭✭This crap is always going to happen on any social type online game. If they were actually in front of you in real life, more than likely they would not pull the same crap they pull online. Some people feel freer to act like dweebs because they feel safe from real consequences.
At least in this game, when you ignore someone, you ignore the whole account instead of just the character. They can't switch chars to keep harassing you.As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.0 -

I have one alt and make everything I need so I have never really bothered with a trading guild. If I did need one though I would probably make my own with one rule don't put shite up for sale.0 -

For honest a guild that is force there member to be online 24/7 just so there guild is active is not a guild i would be in to be honest.

✭You didn't want to be in that guild anyway. That kind of people do not deserve your company. There are plenty of trading guilds in the game that accept that their members are going to play the game and have a life rather than try to earn make-believe money full time, and I am sure you can find a better one.

✭The sad reality is that a lot of people take the trading in video games far too seriously. The guild store owner probably just wants as much traffic as possible to keep his/her spot or to cash in themselves on the store cut. I'm usually a bit of a casual to intermediate trader myself in games but ESO has issues in that department. The guild stores cause more problems, are annoying to visit and are just not the solution an MMO needs.1 -

They care because money from sales goes into the guild bank, from which the guild owner can take as they please.
Find a better guild i say, with a good Guild Leader who doesnt prioritize his own pocket like the one mentioned. If they are good at it, they wont need to pull stupid stunts like this forcing people into things to be successful. ^^Lurking in the shadows.0 -

I know the guild you mentioned, and was disgusted with the conversation this morning, hence I left.
There are much better merchant guilds out there.1 -

✭✭✭You did the right thing by leaving and ignoring him. I'd do exactly the same. I'm in a great trading guild and they are friendly, and don't demand that I pay them for anything or that I sell x-amount of stuff per week. Stuff sells or it doesn't. If I want something, I'll shop around a bit to find the best price, or do a trade with a guildie through chat.
There is absolutely no demand on me at all. Hexi✭✭✭✭✭Then leave? If you don't like what some guild is doing, leave or make your own guild. I've never felt the need to be in a "trade guild" so I don't really care what they do, but this seems like a non-issue to me.0

✭There are other trading guilds that do not do this. We welcome people instead of driving them away with bullying. If you are on the EU server PM me with your username and I will add you to a large trading guild with trading, events and positive social behaviour "If a stick of fish is a fish stick, it will stick like other fish sticks stick"

Honestly that really "shocks" me a bit to read that.... i mean, this is just a game...(to relax, play and have some fun and not to push sales) i would not play with that player/guildmaster anymore if he threatened me to kick out of the guild because of lack of sales.... happy administering, guildmaster (haha)!
i dare say that most players join an MMO to play and not to trade... trade is also important but not the main focus in MMO... i always ask myself too, what shall i do with all the gold/credits if the balance gets too high and if there aren't enough special things to buy? it's better to spend and have a moderate amount of ingame currency, i think...by the time i have amassed several millions... maybe i have lost interest or so.. I also thought that if you can sell selected crown-store items for gold , you would have a possibility to exchange real money for ingame-currency...i don't think it would ruin ingame-economy...
it's completely ok that you don't want to hang around with them anymore... you did well...
