Few questions if you will.

Now that Magic builds are useless to a DW NB, is there any point in being a vampire? All seems very meh now i have no points in Magic.

Is Death Stroke a spell or not or unaffected by the change as it's an ultimate?

Can you recommend item sets for PvP? Currently using Hundings and Shield of the Valiant.

Does impenetrable affect the sneak attack critical?

Thanks in advance.

If real life had a block function i would go out more.

Proud to have spent a year paying to BETA test ESO for consoles.

Stealth speed bonus, Regen bonuses, Batswarm Awesomeness. I suppose the min/max option is werewolf now for any stam build though.

    Scales off your highest stat.

Hawks eye, Morag Tong, Shadow walkers sets.

    This IDK.

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!

    1) sneak run passive is very good
    2) regens buff
BUT as shadow cloak is permanently broken and "Oh [snip]" pots (entoloma-namira-columbine) has now 45s cd stealth based build are not very good in PvP
So if you build your survival not on stealth it's better to become WW.
As for me I use for PvP DW/2H stamina build so survival question is on rally and fear but not on stealth

ulti so scales of best attr

    I use hunding+ashen grip+shadow walker jewelry
If you can get Visious Snake you can change hunding

You should try out a Destro Staff for your magic build Nightblade magic Melee is trash now but the Frost Staff is great for CCs and can lock someone down as you whale or escape.

I know fire does a little more damage plus fire hurts Vamps more so if that's your goal go for it

Lighting is only really useful for Sorcs cause it can proc their disintegration

Frost gets little love from the min/max crowd but it has it place with Nightblade Magic builds
    Chaos Shadow-Scale: Shadow Archer
    Chaos Death-Scale: Shadow Knight
    Tanks-With-Sap-Essence: Dark Mage
Dark Brotherhood Listener: Blade of Argonia
    Chaos Dragon-Scale: Draconic Shield Master
    Chaos Light-Scale: Marsh Paladin
    Chaos Lightning-Scale: Daedric Master
    Hurricane Chaos: Storm Archer
    Bask-In-My-Light: Warrior of The Light
    Forged-In-Dragon-Fire: Pyro Mage
Guardian of The Hist: Light Mender
Chaos of Black Marsh: Master of The Burning Sword
Star of Chaos: Frost Blade Champion
    Chaos-Lightning-Tower: Lightning Shield Master

Xinthisis is doing great as a magika based melee NB. Honestly, well set up Magika NB are some of the more annoying and hardest to kill NB I've seen. He has some good videos of him taking out multiple opponents and also killing single targets rather quickly.

As for stam nb, I just switched over to stam myself. I started out Hundings and ashen, but found it rather underwhelming. I've gone over the the way of Air set camp, and stacking regen.

How much of a change in play style is this? Stealth and speed does seem to be a lot less effective in letting you control the engagement.

I know everybody says that fear is a great cc but I have yet to master it i guess. On any decent player they seem to have a big enough stamina pool to just break it immediately and keep on fighting. What "frightens" me so much about relying on healing and fear is that getting out of the way of the zerg would be impossible. If they can see you, they will steam roll you. That's guaranteed to happen many times each night.

The key with Fear is #1 it goes through block. So it stops turtling. And #2 if they break free it costs them a good bit of stamina, and if you keep doing it whenever the immunity is up, they will run out of stamina to do things like block attacks or dodge roll or sprint. It's good stuff.

Thank you all for your answers, very cool advice too.

What i do with it is solo ganking and hiding round the periphery of zerg's fighting looking for targets that stray out of the main heals. I do agree it is of little benefit to the zerg but you know, sneaky solo assassin i enjoy a lot which is the name of the game.

I'll bin shield of the valiant and sort out a couple of the sets you mentioned and try them out, ofc Morag and Shadow Walker will take a while and/or 750K.

Good point about the Nighstalker Vampire passive, it is very useful now Concealed Weapon is useless and i use drain as my main heal.

Most bummed about losing Impale, the range and the damage was just excellent, Killer's Blade does just as much damage but no range. Can't count the number of times that got me the kill as my target try's to run away.

My NB will never wield a stick was my motto, although when i get my Khajit NB up to VR i may have to try it out as relying on Night's Silence for the speed boost would be very limiting, so it would be vampire or slow sneaking.

Destructions staff is not bad as a large magic pool boost your power and try out Shadow Dancer it's a all light dropped set with Magic bonuses and the same five piece as Night's Silence

I'm running a Dunmer Vampire (Cloak movement boost and Regen passives) Stamina DW NB. Its so frustrating trying to put together a good bar that you don't have to switch all the time. Bar#1 is Dark Cloak, Surprise Attack, Flurry OR steel tornado , Mass Hysteria OR Reapers Mark OR Relentless Focus, Killer's Blade I use Soul Harvest as my Ulti but always switch to Swarm on my Second Bar to use Ulti.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this set up, I'm relatively new at NB?

I started with cloak too and binned it after gaining enough levels that i could sneak right up to my target without it. I suggest you do the same. It's not useful in pvp and there are better choices.

Here's the ones i use for Stamina based.

Armour is all medium, i am trying 5 Medium and 2 Heavy which may or may not be better.

    Impale/Killer's blade.
I havn't decided on which, i'm leaning to Killers blade but i will miss the range badly.

    Rapid strikes
Does a lot of damage very quickly and the final strike is interuptable, just decimates with a stamina build

    Surprise attack
IS your first and main damage on a single target, i am killing outright in 1 shot at VR10 with normal mobs.

    Accelerating Drain
Was an absurdly good heal with the Midnight Drain, and still not bad after. With stamina it is pretty meh compared to what it was. I still use it, i like it and it's vampiry and the animations are great. A case could very easily be made for Swallow Soul though.

    5th slot varies.

    Solo
    Camoflaged Hunter
Player Werewolves/Vampires get a glow and it does extra damage to them and gives a passive bonus to crit chance. WIth it i have 40% crit chance and Rapid strikes is just lol.

    Zerg
Mass Hysteria, can give me a chance to move into stealth or back to saftey with the help of 'oh ***' pots. Most of the time i don't get away and i die and i expect to.

    Ultimate
    Solo
Doesn't really matter, whatever you enjoy. I use Soul Tether for a safety net in case it is a tarp or Soul Harvest if not.

    Zerg
Devouring Swarm, save it for when you need it, when you are surrounded it is just lol

    Bow for the second bar..

But as said above it's not a great idea for Zerg's. Solo hunting though is excellent. I have over 100 kills and no deaths solo against all classes and levels. Not surprising when they start the fight with a third to half of their health gone.

Remember PvE like you expect to PvP, makes it all very smooth and relaxed when the time comes. My first kill i didn't have to think about it as i had done it hundred's of times in PvE. There are also no wrong choices, all that matters is that it's fun, which it won't be for your target.

Camouflaged Hunter in stealth if applicable
    Surprise Attack from stealth
Rapid strikes down to 25% health
Spam Impale/Blade and they are dead.

    Takes about 5 seconds.

    Good hunting.

Cheap abilities are better than damage? No.

Stamina or Magicka you go for max damage, siphoning strikes for when you need it in PvE.
