Let's face it. There are a
lot of things that are broken. The big issue is that in a game where most players don't breach around 20k total HP, there shouldn't be anything that can hit for 5 digit damage, especially since only
some things can hit for 50% or more of the average player's HP. It makes it feel like Dark Souls: Elder Scrolls Edition. 5-digit damage makes putting points in health or putting health enchantments on your armor useless, because you will constantly get 1/2-shotted either way. At the same time, this makes other skills useless. Why did I put radiant destruction on my bar? Because it hits twice as hard as anything else in the Dawn's Wrath skill line. That's a problem, especially when this game was built so heavily around the whole "Players won't be funneled into cookie cutter roles" thing.
We need to look at the bigger picture and stop going "Oh, this one thing is too powerful, nerf it" because in the end, that doesn't help ZOS fix anything. For example, if only crystal fragments was nerfed, then you'd have a bunch of people complaining that sorcs are now weak in comparison to everything else. We should think about what ZOS can do in order to make all skills and all classes viable in some aspect. The simplest solution in my opinion would be to make sure nothing can hit for more than 4-digits (Siege perhaps 15k max) and/or increase the Cyrodiil HP boost.
But I digress...here's a picture.
