I've always assumed that this is because the Outlaw's Refuge door is the ONLY door that you can open while in combat, and playing a clunky door opening animation while being wailed on by one or more guards is probably not the best idea.

I know that I've personally almost died while being chased by multiple guards going through the Outlaw's Refuge door on numerous occasions. I don't think I'd feel better actually dying during my escape because I was waiting on the door open animation.

Although, it would probably be a bit more realistic, lol.

How would one go about finding out the ACTUAL answer to this (or any other) questions. I would think the "official forums" is the place to go but I feel like we are largely ignored on the forums. The only actual answer I ever received was from Lawrence Schick regarding the Senche mount.... and that was LORE.

Is there another place I should be going for answers from ZOS?

You could maybe try Twitter? I don't know their account names, though.

Just shoot your questions into the aether and hope for the best, basically.

I have tried twitter for a couple of things... no dice. Tried submitting help tickets too. Nothing.
