I haven't seen anything about this recently. Have they released any information on when they plan to remove VR levels?

They aren't going to start on this until after console has been launched, so you'll need to wait a while. They also have been silent on walking back the changes they made to XP rewards, so not only do you have to deal with veteran levels, you'll have to spend longer grinding them up than everyone before you.

I'm a bit bitter because I'd like to finish up another alt, but the grind is just absurd and pointless, and ZOS seems to be digging their feet in.

if they are going to go through with removing them it will most likely be this fall or later before it happens.

I seriously doubt they are ever going to remove them.

Now they are doing the whole console launch thingy with Vet levels in...tbh I don't see them redoing several platforms that much after the fact.

My guess is they keep up the silent treatment, hope people forget they ever said anything..and release shinies in the cash-cow....eeh shop I mean,to keep players distracted.

But then againI could be wrong ;)

Won't remove them, XP potions will sell like crazy in the cash shop.

Ya i should have used the search feature. Sorry. Well what they should do that would make it an easy fix is add a new quest that you get after the last main story quest. This quest is just go and get told about the Champion System. It can explain how it works like a little tutorial. The reward is enough exp that you level up all the way to VR14 and then the Champion system unlocks. Problem solved. Now everyone is VR 14 right after defeating the main story quest. You don't have to worry about re writing code to shift around all those attributes that we gained going to vr 14 because everyone is vr 14. All you have to do is create that quest and it solves everything. Even the gear issues of what to do with gear below vr 14. You just make all end game gear drop as VR 14. Max level for the game stay at VR 14 from then on but you get the VR lvl's for free just by beating the main story line. Does that sound like a good idea?
