DK chains - bugged or affected by lag?

In the past few days I've been having a lot of trouble using chains while doing dungeons. Quite often I try to use them and nothing happens. I *think* some of the times I can hear the sound effect for the chains a few seconds later, which could mean that lag is bugging the skill, but I'm not sure.

Anyone else having these issues? Anyone had any success countering them?

    Ok, so after a few days I keep having trouble with chains, even with no lag in dungeons.

    I've noticed that I get a message when I try to use chains saying the enemy "is too high or too low". However, I'm pretty sure this isn't the case - chains have failed even on level stone-floor rooms. Is there maybe a bug in the chains' line-of-sight code?

    Could any forum mod say if this is a known issue and if it's being looked into?

    I keep running into this problem and have confirmed that the game gives a message about the enemies being too high or too low. This happens in situations where I feel it should never be the case, as in the case of the picture below:

    I've submitted a bug report, but since these rarely result in any feedback, I'm asking again: is there an ongoing issue with the chains line-of-sight, and is it being looked into?
