Oh no, now there's another guild to blame for causing lag!?! Damn it's almost as if it's the server tech and not the players at all, crazy tin foil hat *** amiright?

It amazes me how people blame a whole group of people for causing the lag when in reality, Chillrend has been lagging really hard for the past 2weeks at least every evening during peek times. I have been there, I know what I'm talking about. The group everyone blame for lagging the server recently switched, yesterday evening. The lag was happening way before their arrival and it is not the fault of anyone, not even ZOS.
The recent change of the game to B2P brought thousand of players new players, and old players back into Cyrodiil. When 3 factions are max pop and a big fight happens around a keep and inside on the flags, lag always occurs. NO MATTER what, it does occurs. Shut up already with the blames and get real. The only reason you QQ is because a certain faction got emperor and captured a scroll. Something you tried really hard to prevent without success. Don't tell me you were lagging in that cave when u tried to run the scroll back, nah han. You got outplayed zerged down in a laggy free environement.
Fixed.
And to counter your first paragraph, I too have been playing Chillrend, since 1.6 went live and while yes there has been lag at times, in the overall scheme of things it has been relatively minimal. Never for as long or felt like last night. Last night felt like thornblade all freaking night. But pat yourselves on the back for zerging everything down and "outplaying" people.
You do realize we were farming red the whole night? We were never going to be able to keep the scroll once we wiped an entire zerg to take it, spawning was too close, our goal was to kill red that was it (which I why where we fought was where we fought). I like how you somehow think that entire experience was anything, but a win for us.
As fengrush said (can't believe I'm agreeing with him),
this is what denial looks like.

I know, right?
I thought it was this one guild, that's still playing Thornblade, now I think it's this other guild.
I AM SO CONFUSED!
What sort of other hackusations are going to be thrown around?

Why is it so difficult to agree with FENGRUSH?

His caps lock key rejects the proper spelling of your name.

I'm not accusing anything, if anyone else is well thats on them, I'm not naive enough to think theres that going on. Its the play-style of certain groups that inevitably leads to this. As I said before this is ultimately the product's fault, but I made the post lamenting the fact that trying to play around the problem that led to a lot of fun the last month is basically gone now.
No hacks, play-style.

I think DC had more than 20 people on last night. I did get on kind of late though.

Agrippa_Invisus wrote: »At least from my perspective, the three way fight at Chalman Keep was a lot of fun last night.
And I didn't experience any lag during the events, so that was a key part of the enjoyment. Got a lot of kills, died a couple times, and got to duo with an old friend and catch up.
And it was extra special fun times ganking the vampire sent behind to try to rez AD's dead that were on the east wall of Chalman. I remember your old tricks.

its probably because the guild who shall not be named is next to you all the time, lol. things were bad last night, i dont think my ping went below 200 for most the night and was spiking like crazy all night. before the guild who shall not be named showed up atleast ping would normalize back down to 60-70. this delay in abilities is what made me change campaignes to chill to begin with, and looks like i will have to change again because of these guys breaking the server. ill probably go back to thorn, it probably doesnt lag like it used too and is the new chillrend now.
The group everyone blame for lagging up the server recently switched yesterday (march 31th). I have played regulary on Chillrend for the past 2weeks and let me tell you that my ping has gone all the way up to 3-4k several times when a certain group of AD or a certain group of DC would be fighting around keeps. I'm not blaming them. It is the fact that all three factions were pop locked with at least 40 players in the same area using aoe spells. Go back to Thornblade if you want, the same thing will happen there unless one or more of the following solutions happen :
- They lower the population caps, again (even if I would not like it);
- They find a way to improve performances during primetime;
- They find other ways to spread out people even more.
Note : spreading out people won't change much because in the end, all it takes is a full raid of experienced players to use alot of aoe abilities against another group to overload the server when all factions are max pop.

And your claim is the top talent is in Chill?
Campaigns don't even need players to lag. I was on had this morning fighting a sorc, there were maybe 14 max at the keep. 12 were just stealthed watching. Sorc was rubber banding so bad I couldn't even tell which direction he was bolting. I whispered him and he was at 400 ping. That form just 2 people fighting.
